It was so good the other night I brought a growler home.
A: Hazy brown color. Actually got a finger of off white head a day after opening the growler. Some lacing.
S: Smell is even better as I allowed the growler to warm up a bit. One thing about the pumpstation is all beers are served at the same temperature. Bready malt which I did not pick up before. The cherries are really weird with this beer. One sniff is all cherries the next nothing.
T: Warmed up a bit the cherries are a little bit more subtle. More of a traditional dubbel this time with the cherries giving it a little something extra.
M: Better mouthfeel today as well. More creamy.
D: Should have gotten another growler.

The beer is listed as Cherry Brown on their board but beer menu has it as Belgian-style Dubble with Cherries.
I had this beer on tap in a tulip at the Albany Pump Station (obviously).
The beer looks decent with a nice deep brown and reddish hue to it that pass almost no light, has a mild reddish white head, and leaves almost no lacing on the glass. The smell is average with a mild coffee, sugary sweet, and sour cherry blend to it..its unfortunate because you don't a get a strong smell from any of them, somewhat mild. The beer is a strange blended taste as I instantly got a mild bitter cherry followed by a burnt coffee taste and a little nuttiness on the back end. The mouthfeel is average as the beer is decently carbonated but leaves a bitter coffe taste around. Overall, I was somewhat confused by the beer as they advertise CHERRY BROWN but beer is listed as Dubble with Cherries and I got almost no bits of a belgian couble at all, I got mild cherry and brown too...somewhat disappointing.

I had this on tap at the Pump Station in Albany. I guess I should start by saying that my review is tainted because I am not as in love with Dubbels as much as most people are. But whatever, this is my review. The cherries certainly come through. There is a bit of yeast in there to balance out the flavor, perhaps a slight sourness. Quite sweet.
