Medium sized off white head settles into a pretty nice lacing above a well carbonated cloudyish caramel golden-bronze colored Witbier.
Wheat grain malts, yeasts, citrus fruit rinds, and a light light black pepper and maybe other spices aroma.
Dark spices up front, pepper corn like, overwhelm but mix well with the wheat malt then through in a very light yeastiness and you have the taste of this belgian style.
A light pepper tasting dryish aftertaste on this light to medium bodied beer.
This beer comes in a blandish can with a blandish name and delivers a bit more then advertized, I was mildly impressed, especially considering what I had anticipated prior to opening it.

A: Pours a cloudy golden orange in color with moderate amounts of fine visible carbonation and some light amounts of small white yeast particles in suspension. The beer has a finger tall white head that slowly fades to a thick film covering the majority of the surface of the beer with a slightly thicker ring at the edges of the glass. Light amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of wheat, orange, apricot, anise, and peppery yeast.
T: The beer starts out with light flavors of wheat underneath the more subtle yet complex flavors of orange, orange zest, apricot, and anise with lighter amounts of peppery yeast near the finish. Maybe some more notes of fennel.
M: Medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Light amounts of dryness in the finish.
O: This is an interesting take on a Witbier with the addition of the fennel and anise flavor. Nice amounts of complexity and easy to drink, could be a sessionable beer.

12oz can poured into a pint glass
A: Golden yellow with a 1/2 finger head.
S: Wheat, spice, and citrus zest.
T: Lemon, wheat, coriander. Tasty, though the finish is very short.
M: Light, crisp and zesty.
O: My is this refreshing! Not the most complex thing in the world, but tasty. I will definitely be looking for more the next time I'm in NC.

Pours a hazy golden orange with an inch of dense, foamy white head that has great retention. The nose has notes of spice, yeast, and faint lemon and orange zest. The flavor is fruity with notes of lemon and heavy orange. There are very faint spice notes from the yeast as well. The mouthfeel is light bodied and well carbonated.
Not a bad offering from TBC. As a flagship beer it's pretty simple, but I could see how it would appeal to a large crowd. It's brewed to style so nothing too interesting to report. As this is a regular in local restaurants, I could see myself getting this at a place with a limited selection.

Received in trade from VncentLIFE, thanks for the opportunity!
Pours a cloudy deep golden pineapple juice color with a tiny white head that dissipates almost instantly. Smells of pepper and coriander with a spicy wheat aroma. And do I smell fennel? Slightly tart in the taste. Oranges or apricots mixed with fennel anise and pepper. Medium body and carbonation level, slick watery mouthfeel. Decent brew, but nothing earth shattering here.

Pours light golden with visible carbonation and a large white head. Head has good retention and leaves bubbly lacing.
AROMA: Sour; apricot flavored witbier; off-odors, to my mind, of yeasty, over-ripe fruit and wet grains.
T: nice yeasty, malty and fruity flavor. Tart. Well chosen level of spicing, although the mix of spices is not ideal. Hints of coriander, apricots, lemon, banana, clove, allspice and orange.
M: medium-thin body. Very good carbonation, although this meant I needed 3 pours to get this 12oz can of beer in a 16 oz glass. Slight dryness in the finish.
O: mixed review: pleasant beer despite a rather unpleasant aroma.

inch head. Slightly turbid yellow color. Low carbonation, even with a laser-etched glass.
Smells like Hoegaarden, except less. I smell all ale, less spices. Not too impressed with the smell of it.
Now the taste was totally different. Its slightly sweet taste from the malt really make the coriander and orange peel pop on the palate. The odd thing is that the flavors all really only stick around long enough to make themselves known, then just kind of leave you wanting more. Really impressed the flavors in this one. The spices are really more spicey than Im used to, and I think thats what Hoegaarden is missing.
Light body, easily drinkable. Best canned beer Ive had to date; my new go-to beer down here in NC.

A - rolled the can lightly to disperse the yeast as directed. pours a hazy pale golden hue. 3 fingers worth of white head.
S - a deep and complex aroma. spices are very prominent such as coriander, guinea pepper, and some vanilla as well. a bit of tart wheat as well as some smokeyness.
T - light bready sweetness on the tip of the tongue followed by sublet notes of bitter orange peel for balance with a tart and spicy finish.
M - fairly light bodied and crisp when nicely chilled as it warms it takes on a more creamy sort of mouthfeel. brisk carbonation.
O - a very unique take on a white ale. complex yet easy drinking and very refreshing on a warm summer eve.

The CANQuest (TM) is picking up where it left off last night - with a Witbier, thanks to WoolyB, who sent this to me, along with an article about the CAN's design. It seems that they are inspired by the old "Bull Durham" smoking tobacco and advertising campaigns. How cool is that?
From the CAN: "Our interpretation of a traditional Belgian wheat beer, Triangle White Ale is unique and truly refreshing. The style gets its name from the white, slightly cloudy appearance of this unfiltered wheat ale. Brewed with a generous amount of white and red wheat that is grown locally in Scotland County, NC, and our own special blend of spices, makes Triangle White Ale complex in flavor without being overpowering or cloying. This beer [CAN] be enjoyed with or without the addition of fruit, but you decide! [I decided against it.] We have [CAN]fidence in you since you already made the wise decision to enjoy this beer! We suggest lightly rolling the [CAN] to jostle the yeast prior to pouring into your favorite glass. Cheers, [the undersigned]."; "No Bull ... just BEER!"
I was met with a tiny amount of foam-up during the Crack, but that was because of my following directions (lightly rolling the CAN), but once it settled, I saw that I had yet another brim-full CAN of craft beer. The Glug netted me a finger-and-a-half of rocky, eggshell-white head with good retention. Color was a hazy, murky orangish-yellow, like fresh-squeezed grapefruit juice. Nose had an interesting admixture of a wheat-cereal graininess along with a peppery spiciness. Mouthfeel was medium with the spices really coming out on the tongue. I would be curious to know what that "special blend of spices" CANsisted of, but it lent this beer a real dryness on the finish. Refreshing? Heck, yes! I would definitely want some of this beer in my cooler on a day at the beach.
