My favorite place to go to in the 'burbs of Philadelphia if I want a combination of great beer and great food.
The bartenders are all very knowledgeable and helpful, and will gladly give you a sample if you are unsure.
Great and thorough selection of beers. Locals, Imports, Hard to finds. You name it. While some bars specialize in local, and others foreign or belgian, Teresa's is very well-rounded with good options for every mood.
Their food is top notch. Not your typical bar food. Their cinnamon wings are the best wings i've had in the area (i believe they won 'best of philly' last year). The wings are whole wings, not cut in half at the joint - so you get 5 whole meaty wings (which, if halved, would be 10 wings). Baked, not fried. Somehow it works.
Their bottle selection is also available 'to go' with 20% off with that option. Sometimes bottles of vintage Cantillon will pop up.
Also, the only place i've been to that will have Pliny the Elder on tap and have it last multiple days. And they have it often.
On Mondays, they do 'buck a shuck' oysters all day and night. They are served with this amazing frozen wasabi caviar stuff that I think is the most creative and tasty accompaniment to oysters i've ever had.
Brunch here on Sundays is a must. The menu is always changing and it has never been crowded when i've gone. Easy to avoid the crowds of city brunch from now on now that I know how great it is here.
The only downside is the noise - brick walls, tin ceiling = lots of echoing and noisiness when the place is crowded. This comes in handy, though, when I go out to dinner here with my equally noisy family.
Also, would be great if they had TVs, but that would probably just add to the noise and some people might actually prefer a place with no TVs. It definitely cuts back on the rowdy sports fans, if that is not your cup of tea.

This was my first visit to Teresa's and I was impressed. They had a great selection with reasonable prices. Wait staff was both friendly and helpful. It was a Saturday night and super busy- now I know why! I had Pliny the Elder on tap and it was fantastic. I didn't eat there this time but will be back for sure. Teresa's is a gem of the 'burbs!

Any standard weekend, my friends and i can be found wondering in or out of this establishment, partaking in the tasty pleasures of what is Teresa's Next Door. The beer selection rivals if not destroys the majority of almost any craft beer, eatery. the beer menu is ever changing as well as certain items on the food menu, which is a strong competitor in pretty much the entire area. Teresa's... we thank you!!!!

I live 5 minutes for this gem. They have done it right from day one. The cheese menu is only surpassed by the Book of Beer. Everything about this establishment is quality. The draft selection is always stellar and the bartenders have great knowledge.

Stopped in the week that the US Open (golf) was in town. The sad part is that I only realized once I left Philly and I used to live practically down the street from Teresa's...just sad.
Stopped in on a Tuesday for some beer and some food...and the place did not disappoint. Great selection of Belgian beers and some locals as well, brewers as well as styles. I had a Sly Fox stout that was on Nitro, as well as a Russian River, both perfectly served. The place was pretty full, but not crowded and there was a good buzz to the place. The bartender was knowledgeable about both the beer and the food, which was nice. I went with seared scallops, which were cooked to perfection.
Overall, a good place for both food and drink. I will be back when I am back in Philly.

My wife and I was in town from Indiana and staying at King of Prussia. I did some searching for restaurants with a good beer selection. I was familiar with Monk's in Philly, but stumbled onto an online beer list for Teresa's and was impressed. I'm a sour fan and while their selection can't match Monk's there, is was still pretty darn good. Most of the beer can be purchased for carry out, but some are marked as "In Bar" only. Unfortunately, this included 4-5 Cantillon selections. Some bottles are even discounted 20% for carry out. I left with 4 rare sours and a smile on my face, despite dropping a fair chunk of change.
The topper was they had Pliny the Elder on tap. I was told this was very limited and was due to the Philly beer week. I guess it's all in the timing.
The food as also very good. However, the restaurant side and bar side have different menus and they won't let you cross order. I think we were on the bar side, and the mussels were not available there. They still had plenty of good choices, including Chicken Piccata, one of my wife's favorites. Darn shame I'll only get to visit once.
