Snuck over here with my friend while the wives shopped nearby.
Nice large place, huge flat screen with the football game on. (I mean huge, this thing had to be at least 80 inches) Pretty quiet when we first arrived around 11, was pretty busy when we left about an hour and a half later.
Quality is not bad. I had a pretty nice hoppy pale and a malty red. Both solid beers.
Service was good. Bartender was friendly, not overbearing, yet still prompt.
Selection was ok. They had I believe 8 beers, the bartender said they were going to be adding a few guest beers shortly too.
I didnt have any food this time, but I have eaten here before and been satisfied.
Overall, a pretty good spot, and about the best place you are going to find while in cow town.

I've eaten here at the Vacaville location several times. Food is consistently good and beer solid and consistent. I gravitate to the burgers, the Jeremiah Red ale and the Piranha pale ale. At my most recent visit (12/28/11) the Piranha was very good paired with the Piranha chili burger.
Service between beers can be slow at least the delivery from the bar especially when the restaurant is crowded which is often during dinner hours.
I have not gone in to just drink and watch a game during an afternoon.

As the closest local Brewpub, BJs Vacaville has been a stop for me at least a dozen times since opening a couple years ago. As to be expected, weekend nights are generally very crowded, so expect to wait up to 30 minutes for a table.
Their house beers are suprisingly decent, with my favorites going to the Tatonka stout and their recent Grand Cru. They also have a Belgian bottle list, but your waiter will likely only have a passing knowledge of the beers on it, so expect to point the beer out if you use correct pronunciation. Service is generally pretty good, but beer-knowledge seems to be so-so amongst most of them.
Food is slightly better than most of the big name chain restaurants.
Decent, and definitely better than nothing.
