Located in the middle of a small cluster of great beer places, all within a half mile of each other, all within Leesburg, VA. This place, as you would guess, has a specialty in pizza, but has some other great dishes as well.
The inside is rather small, however on nice days there is outdoor seating. There's a long bar, equipped with TVs around the room. The tap list is decent, and there's a good bottle list to back it up. Prices are decent.
If you're in the mood for pizza and beer, this is the place to go. Leesburg has another winner.

Fireworks is owned by the same folks who own the next door fine dining restaurant Tuscarora Mill and the same dedication to quality is evident here. Fireworks is basically an upscale pizza joint, but what makes it special is the beer selection.
There are 12 taps that rotate regularly. The bartender and beer guru Jessie manages to get an amazing array of kegs from near and far. The bottle selection is probably the best in Loudoun County (even though that's not saying much). They always have a nice selection of 750ml/22oz bottles across the spectrum from American IPA's, Imperial Stouts, Barleywines, Belgian Saisons and more. The smaller bottles and cans come from all over the US, Britain, Belgium and Germany. There are probably over 60 different bottles available at any time, and new selections come in on a weekly basis.
The service at Fireworks is outstanding - prompt and friendly. I almost always sit at the bar, and the bartenders have a unique quality here: they actually know about the beer they serve. BeerAdvocate members may not need basic advice, but it's fun to watch the bartenders turn hardcore Bud Light drinkers on to American craft beer. (There are no BMC beers at Fireworks, although Pabst Blue Ribbon is available).
The only downside from the perspective of someone who likes to spend a couple of hours sampling great beers and having a great time with my rowdy friends is that Fireworks is most definitely a family establishment. As in families with very young children sitting at tables next to the bar, and they frequently make a lot of noise. So I find that I have to constantly regulate my speech while tuning out the rug rats.
If you find yourself in Leesburg or anywhere in the vicinity of central Loudoun County, I highly recommend that you check out Fireworks Pizza.

If this was to be listed more of a beer bar and less of a gourmet, wood fired, pizza, this place would rank highly among beer bars in the country.
12 Taps rotating with local VA,DC,MD,DE brews and some of CA,CO,MI,ME's finest craft brews. The Bottle selection is Loudoun Counties finest in a bar.
The Knoweldge of the Management and staff is exceptional when it comes to the variety of beers and wines and how they compare to the various entree's.
If visiting the area, you need to stop through and enjoy a "Smokey Blue" pizza with a Green Flash double IPA, Ballast Point Scuplin IPA or any other of their current selections

I went to Fireworks Pizza while on a business trip to Leesburg based on reviews here on BA.
They have a nice long bar and small-ish dining area. Apparently they have recently added 4 more taps, totalling 12 I think?
They has Firestone Walker 15 on tap! It was amazing by the way...along with DFH Noble Rot, Ommegang Seduction, Tripel Karmeliet, FSW Union Jack, Lagunitas, and a handful of local Virginia brews. They also have an extensive bottle menu. Really fantastic selection!
The bartender was super nice and loved to talk beer.
The pizza was really good. Very fast and delicious. Prices were just above reasonable. The pizza was kind of pricy...$12 for a 10" pie seems high. The beer was reasonable though. $5 for local and up to $10 for a full pour of FSW 15.
Overall, I would certainly visit again if I ever find myself back in Leesburg.

i love fireworks pizza in leesburg! its the original, and my 2nd home! its located in downtown leesburg, next to tuscarora mills. nice out door seating, with a small inside. i prefer the bar if its open. they only have 8 taps, but they always have good stuff on. and usually a cask a weekend. ive had some many good things from those taps i can count. kbs, devil dancer, parabola, abacus off the top! the bottle selection is fantastic with to go as well! jesse and curtis pull some bottles into that place that you do not see anywhere in the area. the pizza there is amazing, the smoky blue is one of my favorite pizza's, ever, period. great appetizers and sandwiches. i even love there house salad! a great place to at stop anytime!

Fireworks pizza is located in the historic district in the building that used to be a freight depot. Snuggled up against what used to be an old mill which houses another iconic Leesburg eatery, Tuscarora Mill. I admit I was disappointed once I walked in since it's sister business in Arlington, VA was at least five times bigger with a much larger beer selection...
Let's start with the bar - they have one of the most fun beer selections in our area - if you are the type of person who can let go of their PBR, RR, Bud! Saw they had HopSlam not too long before I arrived but was out unfortunately. I was compensated by Green Flash IPA on tap which was great. Usually 8 taps with something new all the time and much of it maps to the change in seasons. There are bottles galore ranging from American craft beer to a fun selection from Europe and around the Globe. Fireworks also has wine, but no spirits - but with the beer selection, who needs 'em??!!
On to the food....the menu is really well rounded from lite bites, salads, and antipasto to sandwiches, pasta, calzones and polenta dishes. Of course the superstar of this place is the wood-fired pizza. The great part of the crust isn't just the texture, flavor and aroma its that they do these free-form, no generic cookie cutter pizzas come outta these ovens!

With a little bit of downtime at our disposal, a co-worker and I decide to get ourselves a little bit of pizza...
After enjoying a couple brews at a local brewpub, it is decided that a bite to eat is in order. Pizza sounds good, so a stop at Fireworks Pizza is next on the list. As we walk in, we see before us a pile of empty kegs and a decent stack of beer. So far, the signs are good.
The overall atmosphere is that of a pizza parlor. There's an open view of the pizza pit right as you walk in, and all of the tables have one of those pizza mounts in the center so the tray is comfortably off the table. The draft list is pretty good, and the bottle list is a bit better. We decide on an Allagash 4...a good choice. We order up a large tray of The French Connection, and it was so good that we successfully polished off the whole thing.
The service was very good, our waiter was quick to recommend some beer and talk to us a bit about both the food and the beer selection. Most notably, however, was his reaction to the customers next to us. They were concerned about a container of cheese that they feel went bad. Of course, I have no way of confirming this, but the waiter was a good sport about it and very quickly replaced their container with a fresh one. He never once challenged their claim, which just goes to show they are very concerned with keeping the customer happy.
All in all, this was a great stop with some good beer and some great pizza. I would absolutely stop here again.

This is a great place to grab a microbrew and eat an excellent pizza. The beer list is expansive, especially for such a small place. Normally about 8 beers on tap and the rest in bottles. Several large-format bottles also available.
The pizza is excellent - wood-fired, brick oven, thin crust style. Available with every topping imaginable. They also make great calzones, and the spinach dip appetizer is incredible. They have other stuff too, but I never seem to order it. I always want to try a new pizza style! Oh, and I am from NY, so I don't generally give praise to pizza establishments very often.
Pizzas are in the $10 range for something that will easily feed me and leave leftovers, which is a flat-out bargain in NOVA. Beers are priced in the $4.50 and up range. The rare stuff is more expensive obviously. One of the cheap beers I had here for the first time was a Breckenridge 471. Great brew!
My wife and I bring the kids (both under 2 years old) here all the time and it's never a problem. Staff is incredibly friendly and accomodating. The sit-down restaurant portion is pretty small, but they have a bunch of outdoor tables for the summer months, and all are nicely shaded. There is also a bar that runs most of the length of the restaurant. No smoking!
Parking is ample, which is rare in old-town Leesburg. Located right next to the W&OD Trail, so you can even ride your bike here if you want!
