No frill no thrills taproom that offers decent brews. You can never go wrong with a Swamp Ape though. Southernmost Wheat is pretty solid too. They go down like water. They offer cheap cases of beer which is worth bringing home. Biggest suggestion is to make sure you stay on the main roads when visiting. There are some not so nice neighborhoods around the brewery.

As noted in a previous review this is a tasting room above the brewing floor. Free samples of just about everything they make under their own labels are available (they also contract brew for a lot of others). Growler fills became available recently and there are often good deals on bottled beer (cheaper than a liquour store or supermarket). Blazingly hot in the summer with no air conditioning, best to visit in cooler weather unless just running in and out to grab some beer. I'd also recommend the Kelly's cider if you like that type of thing, one of the better one's I've had.

I visited their tasting room. It is a mezzanine upstairs, above the brewing operations. It is a bare bones space for them to serve samples of beer and sell beer. It is not air conditioned, so it was hot. No, it was not warm. It was hot. One guy runs the tasting room operation. He was extremely nice, and helpful. Heck, he gave me free beer! What a guy! It was good too. He and I were chatting in front of a big fan, so we were OK. I especially liked the Swamp Ape IPA. They use 5 different types of hops to make it. Very nice. I had a nice pale ale also. It is fun to stand up there and sip beer while watching the people below making it. LOTS of it. I was surprised at how large their operation is. They have been at it for a long time. I think he said 15 years.
