Poured from a 12 oz. brown bottle into a pint glass, this beer pours a clear golden amber with a slight half-finger of white froth, disappearing rather quickly and leaving virtually no lacing aside from a few specks.
Nose is rather downplayed, with a soft resinous hop presence and some buttery, bready diacetyl character.
Flavor is much like the aroma, with a smooth, rounded diacetyl nature combining with a mildly bitter, resiny middle, and going down with a watery finish that leaves a lingering piney aftertaste. Body is very light and thin, with a light touch of carbonation.
Easy-drinking, yet not nearly the most desirable session beer. A bit understated for an American-style Pale Ale, and perhaps with just a bit more hop presence and a fuller mouthfeel, this could be a great quaffer. As it is, it's just not nearly there.

Pours a clear, with lots of very tiny floaters, deep gold/pale amber, producing 2 fingers of somewhat lasting, slightly beige, frothy head that leaves motes & webs of lace. Aroma delicate sweet malty caramel, honey hints, floral/herbal hops with faint citrus hops & a faint mustiness. Taste is robust compared to the nose. Toast dominant & biscuit malt, caramel, with herbal, bitter citrus & grassy hop profile that provides a hop balance & bitterness. Finishes dry & quite bitter for the style. Producing a lingering caramel, toast & dominant citrus peel bitter aftertaste. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation, lightly astringent with a pronounced prickly pepper bite in the finish that rides into the aftertaste. The most sandpapery Pale Ale in my memory.

Appearance: Solid gold with excellent suspended yeast in the midst of the carbonation.
Smell: Sweet honey and wet hay.
Taste/Mouthfeel: Malted biscuit and a slightly watery/slick finish. Very tame, but rather refreshing for an ale.
Overall Drinkability: A refreshing if not great ale.
