I had this interesting brew on-tap at the brewery in a snifter.

Appearance: hazy golden orange hue with a thin layer or white foam. A nice white lace sticks persistently to the glass. Quite attractive.

Smell: mildly sweet and funky aroma with a hint of tart fruitiness; this is gonna be good, I think! There is also a nice chalkiness which helps take the edge off the acidity; I like it.

Taste: sweet but not too sweet, with a little bit of funk and a balanced and lightly chalky Belgian character -- glad to see this came through from the aroma. The mango is quite subtle, and simply adds a hint of fruitiness to the palate without screaming "mango".

Mouthfeel: big body with a good, well integrated carbonation. Rich, silky and creamy. Wonderful!

Overall: a smooth, satisfying and just delightful farmhouse ale. I can't wait to try it again.

Brewed with mangoes. Poured from tap at Bailey's Taproom.

Pours nice hazy orange hue with really nice head retention fading to good lace. Good carbonation.

Really fresh saison fragrance. Lots of citrus, the mango is really subtle. Some floral notes, a hint of funky, bready yeast.

On the palate the yeast really comes through up front, lots of tropical and citrus backing. Again, mango there but not in your face. Rather it adds a bit of a sour/sweet character.

Really nice balance, medium intensity finish.

Pretty darn tasty, the mangoes add a nice note without changing the inherent saison-ness of the beer. A brew I would drink regularly.
