American IPA |  7.70% ABV

Availability: Year-round. can (53), on-tap (14), bottle (2)

Notes:
"Our IPA is made with generous additions of Cascade, Simcoe and Palisade hops throughout the brewing, fermentation and conditioning phases, balanced with heaps of organic pale malt. We designed this to not rip your taste buds off your tongue, but rather vigourously stimulate them and your palate into a lupulin-ecstacy of pleasure. During the cross-country truck trip our brewery made to find it's home in Astoria, it was nearly scattered to the cornfields of Nebraska by a tornado. We try to capture some of nature's intensity in every pint."

A: Gold, large bubbles

S: Super-hopped. Grapefruit like mad.

T: Really bold grapefruity hops, light malt, nice hop aftertaste. One of the best ones I tried at the festival.

M: Dry, clean, good carbonation, a tad of astringence.

D: Pretty good, very rich, so it's a little hard to drink.

Enjoyed at the Oregon Brewer's Festival 2010

Part of my CanBIF 2013 haul. Thanks Boozecamel!

Poured from a 16oz. can, 03/05 marked on the bottom of the can which i take to be March 5 as a canning date.

Appearance: Very hazy, dark peach-gold trimmings as a color, lots of rings form around the glass.

Smell: Fresh citrus fruit, peaches, straddles the sweet side a bit, very full.

Taste: Huge ripe fruit, like biting into a sweet peach. Sweetness intensifies in the middle but never cloys. CRISP ORANGES WITH THE PEEL, GOOD HOP NECTAR.

Mouthfeel: Spot-on carbonation, prolonged bitterness, lip smacking.

Overall: Good flavor, good hoppiness, great IPA.

Can poured into Duvel tulip.

A: Pours hazy dark pumpkin with a huge, thick, dense, light tan head that faded into a thick bubbly film that left sticky patches of lace down the glass.
S: Sweet tropical fruits, kiwi, raspberry, papaya, grapefruit, and flower nectar. Very sweet, fruity, tropical and exotic. Doughy malt undertones.
T: Sweet and fruity hops, very nectar and tropical forward, caramel and biscuit undertones, hop resin finish, nectar mixed with bitter pith aftertaste. Sweet, fruity and delicious. Hint of mint as well.
M: Slick, hop resin mouthfeel, soft, low and tingly carb. Medium full body.
O: Really really good. Sweet tropical fruits and a great mouthfeel. Thanks Ryan.
