This place is located near the Singapore River in Clarke Quay. It has a nice amount of outside seating, and about the same inside. There was an area where, at night, bands play. There was a full bar as well as the beer.

The waiters were friendly, and relatively knowledgable. The brewers, who I met, were very nice, and pleasent to talk to. They were familiar with some of the places in California that I love.

The beer was decent. They only had 5 choices, but for Singapore, it was above the standard.

This palce was maybe a little overpriced, but for Sinapore, it was about average.

Located across the river from Brewerkz, this place caters to the masses. Some thought (and money) went into the look, but the effort ended there. The beer selection is small (5 on tap), the quality is average at best, and the food is worse. Please don't try the burger unless you really want minute steak on a bad bun. The service and the live entertainment were good, but the beer and food are lacking. Their selection doesn't even roate; they have the same beers all the time - the ones that appearl most to the masses. Go across the river to Brewerkz if you're looking for good beer and food.

Visited during the day, on two occasions, and enjoyed it both times.
Decked out in some kind of plumbers nightclub dream, with showerhead lights and bath curtain effects, the microbrewery is almost hidden up the back corner, I suppose in an attempt to keep the place looking like a dance venue.
But it is the brewery that is the star of the show.
I was impressed with all the beers (except for the Wheat that seemed to be filtered within an inch of it's life), and it was good to see each brew's vital statistics on a blackboard near the bar, which even stated the IBU's!
Staff was the letdown here, not even knowing what was on tap, or caring how clumsily they pour it.It was a shame, I got a cook's tour of the brewery by the assistant brewer ( an American who is a passionate homebrewer as well!)
Pricing of the beers seemed good - it was cheaper than the bottled water my daughter ordered!
Overall, good beers, good location, but mediocre bar staff.
A life raft in a sea of Tiger beer.Well worth a visit.

I had to visit this microbrewery brew pub; it sits within Clarke Quay, pretty near to the remown Brewerkz in fact. The first note that I get from getting inside was the good music; a little loud but pretty good from some of the local bands. The general feel of the place was pretty westernize and the patrons are mainly westerners; I have no idea why. The place was a little too dark and the waiters had to shine a torch on the menus (We had to shine our mobile phone back light to see the menus too). There was a fair selection of imported beers from a number of countries including Belgium, Germany, New Zealand, USA, etc. However, something that turned me off was that the bottled beers came without glasses! I think that's a bad mistake from a brewpub and I am quite big about serving beers in glassware even if it is not the exact glassware!

This place is located in the middle of Clarke Quay, and is a pleasant find just a few minutes walk from Brewerkz. It makes a nice little pub crawl. The location is literally just behind a large fountain, making for some pleasant sidewalk dining, though it tends to be smoky at the patio tables.

Atmosphere: relative to Singapore, it's quite pleasant and mellow, at least in the daytime. It's dark and sort of mood-lit, with dark and trendy furniture that suggests a night club. Again, we were only there during the daytime, on a couple of afternoons, so I can't speak to it at night. Lots of tables inside at outside on the patio, so except during dinner rush, probably easy enough to find a seat.

The service was friendly but spotty and vague, and they didn't know much at all about the beers. But they did bring us beers, and about every tenth time they rushed by to serve the patio tables, they'd quickly look over to see if our glasses were empty.

Selection was sparse, with only two beers on: a very tasty and reasonably hoppy (for an English style) IPA, and a solid wheat beer. It's not clear if they normally have more on tap, or if they have a difficult time keeping up due to capacity or available tap handles, or what. The server wasn't at all clear on the matter. They did have a bunch of overpriced imported crap in bottles, usually a bad sign in any brewpub.

The quality of both beers was excellent: better, indeed, than many of Brewerkz.

As I recall, they have a time-tiered pricing scheme much like Brewerkz, but I don't have those notes in front of me now.

We had a couple of appetizers, which were tasty, and average priced for the Clarke Quay locale.

Overall, a pleasant couple of visits, and much more mellow and calm than Brewerkz, which turns into a regular zoo. I'll definitely return when in Singapore.
