Poured 1/2 pint into small goblet @ Bier Stein

Pours a deep brown with hints of black and ruby highlights, very cloudy (looks like my brown ale with gusher infection and all the sediment got kicked up into the glass). Small near white head that fades to thin foam on top.

Smells of citrus, spice, oranges, yeast, sweet, phenolic.

Tastes much the same, oranges, spices, yeasty, a little clove, Belgian yeast is evident. Light coffee notes.

Dry and tart finish, smooth, grainy.

Overall, very nice Wit. Were I blind I wouldn't really think that this was too far off from a standard Witbier. Slight roast from the Sinamar, other than that, spot on for a Wit. The black does play with your mind a little, especially with the white head. Good job Matt, now just keep it around.
