Pours a cherry copper hue with a nice creamy three finger head and lacing everywhere, the smell is glazed cherries, earthy hops, toffee, marzipan and caramel, the mouthfeel is just under medium bodied and a bit over carbonated with tastes of toffee, earthy fruity hops, caramel, butterscotch and finished with those earthy hops and overall it's not bad and very English and ill buy again cheers.

Here's a beer with its own quirk; being only brewed on a full moon. I hope that the beer gods don't frown upon drinking it any time. 500 ml of ale to come. On to the beer:

A ruby brown color with orange and yellow hues sits in the glass while the head, forming a half-inch before dropping to a lace, floats on top. The aroma is pleasant; sweet, yeasty, and nutty throughout. There is a steeley and huskiness aspect which interupts the soft yet appealing aroma.

This is a dandy. King Goblin has multiple personalities which work well together. Fruity esters hit the palate first, then that is put aside as a nutty yeastiness takes over. While that is happening, handfulls of crushed toffee are added to the mix. A bit of the 6.6% alcohol hurls itself onto the scene, and acts as a neutralizer to the sweetness. It's medium full bodied with modest carbonation hitting onto the palate.

Just what the doctor needed during a cool night like this, full moon or not.

Coming in a 500ml brown bottle, BB 31/01/2014, served cool in a straight imperial pint glass. Note: the beer label specifies the ingredients to include Crystal malts and Sovereign hops.

A: pours a deeply dark copper colour, coming with a light beige frothy head with decent retention and sporadic carbonation mixed of tiny and huge bubbles.
S: overripe dark fruits, plum preserve, dried berry fruits, raisins, burned brown sugar (understated) and marzipan, while a swirl brings up a complex note of fruit esters, almond shaves, semi-stinky pale malts and refreshing hop resins. Very pleasant, robust aroma befitting a strong bitter.
T: sour-sweet fruity foretaste is full of dark stone-fruits, fruit preserve, fruit cake and dark malts, underlined by a pleasant layer of sweetened tea-ish bitterness, then ensued closely by a semi-dryish palate rendered by the complex double fermentation system which I believe is used in making this brew. At the sweet-sherry like dry-ish finish, more hop influence is revealed, where the resinous fruity and earthy aroma lingers with a vivid layer of hop bitterness of moderate strength, echoed by pleasant and restrained aftertaste of dried-grapy, light cocoa and juicy maltiness.
M&O: the carbonation level is generally very decent, well complementing the rich body of malts and fruitiness but the palate is still semi-light; this full-bodied premium bitter or strong ale is richly-flavoured and decently dry-ish bitter in the finish, easily living up to the standards of Wychwood’s craftsmanship in general. Not bad.

A: Poured from a bottle to a pint glass. Color is a dark copper, has about a 1 and a half finger off white head and has bubbles rising throughout.

S: Up front is a strong muscadine smell with a slight caramel finish.

T: Right with the smell, up front strong muscadine with a small sweet note and really no hop presence.

M: Medium bodied with light carbonation.

O: A nice mid session beer definitely worth a try this is my second time picking up this beer on this review.

Served in a Lagunitas mason jar.

Love the "only brewed under a full moon" schtick. This stuff pours a clear amber-russet topped by a finger of wan cream foam. The nose comprises maple syrup, light brown sugar, light red apple skin, light toasted biscuit, and the vaguest possible sense of candied orange peel. This is a strange amalgam of general fruitiness, sweetness, and spiciness. Diggin' the complexity, even if it means I can't pinpoint things entirely. The taste continues the complexity, but in a sideways direction: hints of old orange rind, dusty toasted biscuit, brown sugar, bad carrots, dark and musty greens, and grass. It's a sharply painful flavor at times, basically taking an evil mirror to the elements of the aroma. The body is a lithe medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda drying finish. Overall, this stuff just didn't do it for me. The flavors break the promises made by the smell and rub my face in their deceit.

a - brown, all of the colors mentioned by other people, I just don't see. If anything in this world is brown, this is it. forms a nice head and the bubbles last throughout.

s - some caramel, malt with some coffee

t - good, it's got a bit of coffee taste with a little sweetness. it has some bitter bite too. I can pick up some fruit, maybe apple. a little caramel as well

m - not overly carbonated, but it sticks to your tongue leaving a long term bitter aftertaste.

o - a good beer, but I think it's a little closer to average, maybe slightly above. My first couple of sips, I thought it was much better, but with the long aftertaste it turns to a bitter coffee. Still a decent option. I'm harsh on beer ratings, so maybe I'm rating this lower than it deserves.

A - Clear dark amber/red with a thick, solid head.

S - Big fruit and malt aromas.

T - Lots of caramel and fairly sweet. Leaning towards the bitter side with nondescript hops. kinda fruity and a bit heavy tasting. A little bit of apple.

M - Lighter in body than expected but with a nice low carbonation level.

D - It's ok. not something I would seek out.
