i had this at a fancy pub called the bullhead, whcih played techno and sucked. i was afraind they would only have fosters , guiness, and strongbow, but....
they had one good beer that made i worth it to come.
looked inviting , smooth cloudy honey color. thin lacey cask ale head.
smells hopsy and bright.(i almsot wrote down curry because a guy at the bar was eating somthing that confused my nose)
an wakeningin hops bitter ness combined with a balanced yet stong alchohol. the beer is very straight forward, and simple. but it had the right bite, ad it was better than a few good american pale ales ive had. i could add a bitt of banana i supose.
your mouth feels very clean and refreshed after a sip, suprisingly refereshing, considering its alc cont. and serving temp.
i saw this beer at a pub the other week and i didnt ry it, because i wanted to have two pint of somthign and , i didnt want to be too influenced by it, also it has a really terrible name, that made me not want to drink it, but now ive had it i ish i ahd gone for it the other night too.

I was surprised to see listed as retired, as I had one just a week or so ago. I was also surprised to see it ranked so poorly. This is a tasty brew in my opinion. The smell is a little bland, but I thought it had a a full "English" flavor, with earthy hops and a nice solid malt backbone.
This is nice subtle beer when you're just in the mood for a few easy pints without getting XTREME FLAVOR OVERLOAD. It really hit the spot and I'd definitely get it again on tap.

16 ounce pint - $6.50 at Taco Mac in Canton, Georgia.
Appearance: Delivered to the table a clear, golden-amber body with just under an inch of white head.
Smell: Wishy-washy aroma of weak malted barley with a thin whiff of their house yeast strain. The hops didn't bother to show up in the aroma, and I can't say I blame them.
Taste: Faintly bready malts with a very, very small amount of toffee crisp sweetness. 1-2 drops of apricot juice. Dissatisfyingly watery from the onset. Iota of yeast. Leafy green hop character, albeit minuscule, with very little bitterness. Drying, water-soaked finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-low carbonation.
Drinkability: Balls.

A - Yeasty hazy pale amber hue, with a 1 1/2 creamy finger head, some nice lacing down the glass. Looks ok
S - not much here really, some sweet malts, no real fruit notes, no hoppy zest.
T - Better than the smell, some nice malted qualities with a slightly hoppy finish, not watery or dry, not much character really.
M- good, low carbonation, creamy, easy to drink
D - pretty good for a session, would take this over a lot of pale ales, but wouldnt seek out again due to lack of character.

Looked really horrible in that clear bottle, quite malty and sweet, and i didn't think there was enough hop bitterness, still, not as bad as i expected, just not really my style.
