APP- Brilliant gold beer with low white head and lace
AROMA- A very complex but delicate bouquet of fruit esters like white grape, apple, pear, with spicy hop contribution
Flavor- Lush fruity esters and acetlyaldehyde swimming in a round malt base of bread and buscuit, moderately low hop spicyness leads the way for a long dry finish with a soft hop bitterness that hangs out on the palate in a pleasantly teasing way, lemony character emerges as the palate adjusts
MF- medium-light bodied, soft, velvety,
OVERALL- about as close to a decent cask bitter as you're going to get at home, very drinkable, refreshing, I'm a fan

500ml bottle poured into tulip 1/4/13
A slight haze in a pale golden body with bubbles of all sizes and lots of tiny particles moving around, finger of foam quickly falls to a thin film leaving some random lace well down the glass
S sweet bready malt, a little honey, faint citrus and a little musty basement and juicy fruit
T much like the nose but with some spicy and herbal hops coming out, slight improvement over the smell
M medium bodied and the bubbles fill it out well, rather refreshing with a spicy hop finish
O pretty decent example of the style, I'm enamored by EPA but I could have another if the Sun was shinning
I suppose I'd get board after a few but that could be said about most English brews I've had. Worth a try and I'm a little surprised it has a pretty average rating

Brown bottle with a scarecrow standing over a patch of hops, an owl on it's arm. Labelled USDA/organic.
Slightly cloudy, and golden in color with a 3 finger white head that recedes very quickly. Leaving decent lacing. No carbonation bubbles.
The aroma seemed not much above that of a macrobrew until the floral/grassy hops punched through.Clean and fresh smelling.
Taste is more one dimnsional Mainly light malts with a faint bitterness of hops.
Moderate in body. Very drying.
Pleasant enough, just pretty low key. Outside of the aroma, nothing really stands out. Very easy drinking, however. Probably a good session brew.

I think folks miss the point here. While, yet, the hops are mostly absent, the body OK, the malt nothing to yak about, this brew is all about the yeast. It's bready in a marvelous way: like a freshly baked multi-grain loaf from a small, whole earth, bakery. I admit: clarity was low: yeast. Mouthfeel more yeast than malt. And the rest of the presentation not much to talk about. But savor the yeast, please. remember, if not for working wonders with yeast the Belgians might be considered 2nd rate brewers.

A 500ml bottle with a BB of Dec 2012, so it's a little out of date. Purchased from a supermarket as part of a mixed pack and stored in my garage. Described on the label as an organic golden ale that uses Target hops.
Poured into a straight pint glass. A hazy golden-amber colour with light carbonation. Forms a large head of white foam that lasts for a few minutes before subsiding. Some lacing. Aroma of grainy malt with hints of stewed hops, grass, fruity ale yeast and cardboard. Dry and slightly harsh.
Tastes of light malt with a dry finish. Notes of grass/hay, stewed hops, faint fruity yeast and wet cardboard. A surprisingly acrid character in the background, followed by a mild, dry bitterness upon swallowing. Mouthfeel is smooth, light and tingly, with decent carbonation but a fairly insubstantial body. Pretty astringent, with an aftertaste of harsh stewed leaves and earthy yeast notes.
Meh - no great shakes. Just a typical bland pale ale from one of the larger UK breweries. Aroma and flavour are dull and have unpleasant qualities. Little in the way of aromatic hops to add interest or depth. Could be too old; I may re-review if I have the chance. Mediocre fare - no need to seek this one out.

A thin head with no retention on a hazy, dirty straw colored body.
The aroma is malty with apricot.
The taste is watery overall, mild bitterness and lemon.
The texture is smooth, moderate carbonation and medium body.
A disappointment, particularly in the taste department.
