This is definitely our brew of choice during the winter. It is an Imperial Stout brewed true to style. Historically, this beer was brewed and exported by the English to the royal court of Russia, and was enjoyed by Catherine the Great. It is very rich and full flavored and compliments most chocolate desserts.

Poured a deep black with a nice brown head. Nose was roasted malts and cocoa and even a bit of sourness. Taste is where it fell apart. A big blast of sourness, so bad I could not even swallow the beer. Beneath all of the sourness I did notice a bit of roasted malt and cocoa but it was bad. I had the server exchange it for a Pale Ale and I never return beer!
