How to start 2012???? A retired tick!!! Not really. Only available in the Hobart area of Tasmania. 375 ML Poured into a pint glass.
A-- Poured a clear, golden straw color. Lots of small and medium sized carbonation bubbles that stream from the bottom of the glass. half finger of bright white head that almost instantly went to a thin white collar.
S-- Slight grassy and bread notes. Not the heavy metallic smell that VB, Toohey's New, MB, or XXXX have. Very faint smell and quite clean.
T-- Sweet bread, grass and citrus. Very clean and crisp. Massive improvement over any of the mainland Australia Bitters. Nothing massive by any stretch but in reality a good soda water with some malt and hops.
M-- Clean, crisp, thin, and light. Light bodied and lots of carbonation. More like soda water metallic but that is not a bad thing at all. A little bloating due to the high carbonation but not all that bad.
O-- Suitable replacement for sparkling water. Not much wrong with this and not much that just says have more of me. Leaps and bounds better than the normal Aussie "bitter" beers. Just a clean refreshing beer with not a lot of other stuff.

Appearance: Standard golden beer colour. Very little head builds and disapates very fast leaving little to no lacing.
Smell: Not bad. The smell hit me straight away. Unfortuanatley it wasnt anything flash. Kinda standard malt smell, sweet, caramely, bready mix. Grassy hops but not much.
Taste/ Mouthfeel: Sweet Bready malts start you off after the hight carbonation goes away. Then the after taste cracks in with some bitter hops which are a little sour.
Drinkability/Overall: A bit watery. What can you say but, meh. You have tasted these beers 1000 times and this is no different. An inoffensive macro bitter no more, possibly less.

lightish yellow/gold color with a thin foamy layer of a head. seems to be quite a bit of carbonation to it.
aroma is on the sour side of being bitter.
malty/sour flavor. not much bitter about it really.
mouthfeel is surprisingly smooth.
cant really pick much about this beer that i want to remember after this. not exactly a beer made to be reviewed and thought much about. probably better off grabbing it right out of the fridge and drinking straight from the bottle/can.
