Imagine a world without flavour. It'd be almost as bad as a world without beer. Well you're in luck. This lager is literally bursting with hop-fuelled taste. It's been created by people inspired and obsessed with keeping the flame alive. Enjoy our handiwork!

Pours a clear, gold color. One inch head of a white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of hops, herbs, hint of lemongrass, floral, pale malt, and a hint of yeast. Fits the style of American Pale Lager. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with an average carbonation level. There is also a noticeable dryness. Tastes of strong pale malt, slight hops, slight lemongrass, floral, herbs, and a hint of yeast. Overall, a little too dry, good blend, body, and complexity.

Best by 8/22/14.
Pours a clear yellow with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, grass, hay, and slight skunk aromas that dissipate as the beer warms up. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grass, pepper, and slight herbal hop flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with solid hop qualities that still seem fresh after almost 5 months past the best by date.

500ml, best by 8-22-14.
Appearance - Pours the standard lager dark yellow pee color. Slow-rising carb bubbles. White head remains a patchy cap with bits of lace.
Smell - Grainy, lemony, light herbal and spicy hop, sweet malt, cereal. Pretty straightforward, not bad by any means.
Taste - A little more of a hop bite here bringing on some white grapefruit and kiwi and lime-like flavors. Big lemony lager flavor, graininess and bready tones, spicy and earthy hops. Some banana esters.
Mouthfeel - Light and oily, carbonation is a bit spiky but not bad, light hop bitterness. Clean taste , crisp and easy drinking.
Overall - Pretty decent lager with no off-flavors and a tame but nice hop profile.

500ml bottle poured into pilsner glass 6/3/14
A clear golden yellow with streams of bubbles throughout, 2 puffy fingers of foam quickly falls to a thick film leaving partial rings of deep down the glass
S smells like a Czech pil with a tropical twist, grassy noble notes with some pineapple, lemon and lychee juice
T thankfully it mimics the smell with some added citrus I can't place, a little sweet malt but the hops are firmly in charge
M light, crisp, refreshing, bubbles fluff it up and a grassy tropical finish lingers for ages, feels like the style should
O such a well rounded brew, fresh and flavourful, one of the best lagers I've had in a while and perhaps my favourite of the Kiwi lagers I tried while visiting
I had this one on a patio in downtown Wellington under a warm sun and couldn't have been any happier with my choice, the kiwis are changing my opinion of lagers

Poured into an imperial pint glass.
Quite the head initially and as this goes down there is some white lacing. Golden yellow in color.
Euro malts in the nose with some grassy/floral notes and just a touch of grape.
Medium mouthfeel that is very pleasing. Great pilsner character throughout that is backed up by noble hops. Very good marriage between the malts and hops. More malty than I anticipated but so drinkable.
Another great selection from Epic Brewing Company.
