Notes:
Moa Breakfast Beer is a blend of premium wheat malt, floral Nelson hops and cherries. A very refreshing and fruity lager specifically designed as a European-style breakfast beer but more commonly enjoyed as a mid-afternoon beverage here in New Zealand. Although not always.

Moa Breakfast has a very thick, fluffy, white head, nice, thick lacing on the glass, and a bright, yellow-golden appearance, with champagne-style bubble streams. The aroma and flavor are unusual, but one can smell wheat and strong fruitiness, and the taste is of white wheat bread, underlying cherries, pleasant bitterness, and other things I can’t describe. The alcohol does come into play in the back-end of the sip. Mouthfeel is light to medium, and Moa Breakfast finishes crisp, clean, flinty, refreshing, sweet, and delicious. I think this is an outstanding flavored beer!

Poured into flutes. The fruity aroma coming off of this thing after I popped the cork!
Honey blonde. Solid white collar has stuck, even after an inch.
Fruity strawberry, cherry, wheat malts, and an aroma of white wine. Florally and fruitly aromatic.
Lightly fruity. Cherry finish, but it's still dry and malty. Pale malts and notes of strawberry and white cranberry. Perfumey and spritzy.
Lovely and light. Has a great spritziness to it. Very enjoyable.
A nice light fruit beer. Could make for a nice early morning riser.

This beer is one of a kind. The nose is cherry kool-aid but the beer is dry and crisp. The cherry is only experienced in the nose. Very light straw color with striking white head. A good looking beer with a champagne-like character. Not overly bitter, slightly sour and refreshing.

What a wonderfully silly beer for breakfast! Are you the kind of person that scoops out a grapefruit for breakfast with a slice of toast? Then you should definitely try this unusual beer. I got cherry smell right off as the cork was popped off with a satisfying champagne like report followed by the ghost of vapor and bubbling inside. Both tart and sweet, lot of fruit flavor becoming more apple as the sips went on. I kept wanting to compare the mouthfeel to a good Lemoncello, so before the glass was empty I did a shot - Nope, there is no lemon in this, but I would compare the taste sensation to an ice cold low sugar glass of lemonade.
Carbonation on the glass walls was active and intense like champagne, but the light foamy head settled down fairly quickly. Tartness/bitterness challenged what I kept wanting to think was a really sweet base hiding in there but although the sugary notes were there I would have to call the final finish as tart. Not everyone is going to like this beer, but it is not some alco-pop thing, it is a finely crafted beverage of an extraordinary nature. I could see splashing some of this in a nice bitter stout for a change up, or making a "shandy" out of it, overall think of an apple/cherry lambic blended with a tart champagne. I really liked this, more than the scoring I put down. Everyone should at least try this to find one edge of what people are calling beer.

A smallish 12.7 oz. bottle with a tall neck, that came as a 4-pack in a clumsy box. Corked and caged. The label is chiq black-on-black, matte and gloss, with "BREAKFAST ale brewed with natural flavor" popping out in bright green print. Bottle-conditioned.
A: Popping the cork produces a light, misty fog in the bottleneck that eagerly cascades into my glass ahead of the champagne-like beer. A white, foamy two-finger head climbs atop the bright, fizzy, clear liquid. It's effervescent and a gorgeous straw yellow, with a tinge of pink. Maybe I'm imagining the tinge.
S: From two feet away, sweet melon wafts to my nose. The breakfast beer is sweet and citrusy, with rose hips, and hints of tart berries. topped with lemongrass hop.
T: Drier and crisp. I expected the breakfast beer to be sticky sweet, but it's surprisingly tart and hoppy. Earthy hops assert themselves more than I'd like, but it's not overbearing. Juicy flavors linger in the flavor: floral notes of sweet pineapple, sour cherries, sugar-cookie malt, tart apple. A subtle, crisp, dry malt lies underneath,
M: Startlingly astringent, but aside from that, crisp, with a subtle chalkiness.
D: Medium. The smooth, pleasant nature of this beer makes it more drinkable.

Wheat beer on tap at Engine 15. Fruity aroma, getting orange and apples (not cherries - perhaps this is a different batch?). Hoppy like an IPA. Decent drinkability.
If not for the fruit tea and wheat beer match, but just an IPA this would have worked. Maybe would be interesting cask without as much hops, going the other way.

Light gold colored body topped with a thick, rocky white head. Strong lemon/citrus aroma with a weird, earthy funk. Very light, soft, effervescent body; crisp, clean, and dry. Light, tart, lemon-like flavor; soft, pungent hop bitterness; light, doughy malt character; banana.
Definitely different, but in a generally good way. Light and delicate overall, with a strong citrus flavor component. Many and varied taste components, so there is a lot to explore in that department. This would fit in nicely as a warm weather quencher and for lovers of 'light' beers.
