This place isnt just a beer store its a full blown neighborhood mkt. It is or tries to be fairly upscale so expect the prices to be pretty ridiculous on about 50 % of items you would want to buy. Its funny because on some things like sandwiches to go or deli items and produce prices are fairly reasonable--the beer prices are steep for any of the beers that we BAs would consider desireable. I have heard a suitcase of Bud is only a few dollars more than a real liquor store but I wouldnt really go here for beer except for a few things.
Here are the keys to this place and why I am glad it has been added to the BA database. First --decent American craft selection with Smutty, Ommegang, Allagash, Wachusset, Anchor, Sierra, Unibroue-(Cdn), Berkshire, Rapscallion, Long Trail, mostly New England stuff. Also, a pretty nice selection of European beers with most of the Sam Smiths and the full line of Chimays, Saison Dupont, Aventinus, etc.-overall a nice selection for such a small store. They also have full liquor in this place.
Prices here border on a little overpriced to almost ridiculous--earning it a locals nickname of Golden Ripoff. But it is open 365 days a year and if you want to buy beer on a big holiday or on a MTW night around here, even the big store will close by 9pm. This place has great hours. Always open till 11. I believe they might close at 9 on Thanksgiving or Christmas.
The quality on everything here has always been pretty good. They also do have free delivery. Not worth going out of your way for by any means but a decent selection of beer and very convenient .
