I spent a weekend in NYC and stopped by the Blind Tiger two times. First was during happy hour on a Friday so this place was packed wall to wall. The Blind Tiger is not that big in general so it was rough for a bit. They do offer happy hour prices which was unexpected and nice. Overall the beers usually run $5-$7 a pint which isn't too shabby considering it IS NYC and I am sure these beers are not THAT cheap in general. Service was pretty good, and fairly quick. They used the correct glasses for the beers which I am not used to. Selection constantly rotates and the website is updated to reflect this. Overall, the best bar I have ever been to.

Great small place. Excellent varied tap selection. Bartenders are attentive.

Visited for dinner on a Tuesday. Small crowded bar vibe, though not super busy when I was there (got busier as it got later). They had I think 21 of their taps occupied at the time. Focused heavily on IPAs, but definitely had a few other styles as well. I would say the selection was pretty well curated, including having a couple solid "standard" options for those that got dragged there by people like me. Servers were friendly and mostly very attentive. Didn't have much conversation with them so I don't know much about their knowledge level.
I had a brisket sandwich for dinner with some spicy potatoes. It was good.
Overall, very good place, and well worth a visit.

All the time, about 28 of Draughts and one or two CASKs.
Crowded a lot. But smooth service and great selection.
Price is quite reasonable.
Very nice bar !

Cool vibe. On the darker and dingier side of thinks. Small amount of the space at the bar. Some tables and chairs as well, but during peak hours on Thursday - Saturday it ends up feeling a bit too small.
Quality of the beer is always perfect. Amazing selection of local and out of town beers, often those sought after by beer geeks. I was there a couple night back and had myself some Other Half, Allagash Cooship Red, and Equilibrium. Again, not stuff you expect to find on tap everyone. Also, they have a very good selection of styles.
The service is very good, but can be a bit tough when it’s crowded. That’s not a criticism of the servers. Just that’s it’s a rather small place and can take a moment to get to the bar when ordering. The servers themselves are rather attentive.
A must visit for beer bars if you’re in NY.

What can I say that hasn't been said before? I've been going to Blind Tiger for over 10 years now, ever since they moved from the old location on Hudson Street. It's simply one of the best bars, in a city that has no shortage of bars.
The vibe inside is great, but it's a small space so it gets crowded easily and often. My friend and I got the last two seats at the bar during my latest visit, at 12:45pm on a Saturday in February. There are other tables scattered about, but there's a good chance you'll have to wait for one of those too.
The beer selection is always excellent. There is no need to check the tap list before you go because there will always be quality options, no matter what styles you're into. There is a focus on NY breweries, but you'll find other beers from all over the map. The beers turn over quickly and the bartenders are knowledgeable so the quality is always good.
Speaking of the bartenders, they are always attentive and friendly, even when the place is packed to the gills. 28 taps, a cask or two, and a great bottle selection await you. On my last trip I had Von Trapp Vienna Lager, Oxbow Buckwild (Biere de Garde), Harviestoun Old Engine Oil (ON CASK!) and Kelso Nut Brown Lager. The food is awesome too. The charcuterie and cheese plates take a few minutes to prepare because the kitchen "makes it nice," as told by my bartender, but they're worth it. The deviled eggs, chili, wings, grilled cheese sandwich with tomato soup are all great.
You really can't go wrong here. It might get crowded but this place is a NYC institution. A must stop.

Very solid bar for craft beer. Huge draft list with a lot of variety. Nice vibe with good crowd even on a Monday night. Bartenders are busy but courteous. Solid bar snacks, and a place I keep going back to over and over and over. I love it!

A stone cold classic.
Dark wood laden corner bar, chalkboards and brick walls, it feels more like a living room than a bar, I think I saw a fireplace? Crowded, but not unbearable on a weekend night. Dark lighting with a sort of cozy, rustic vibe to it. We struck up a conversation right away with one of the regulars. Shout out to Nick for directing us to Lombardi’s.
Selection included Hill Farmstead, LIC, Interboro, and many more, all served in tulips. Despite the crowd, the bar service was quick and efficient. Overall i’d return here anytime, probably during off hours in the day to take it in a little more. Greenwich Village is kind of whatever, but Blind Tiger is definitely one of the standout gems there.

Really, really cool spot, an almost must visit, in a city full of must visit places. Lots of killer stuff on tap. Things we do not see in the Midwest. I was lucky enough to visit on Christmas weekend, so it wasn't insanely busy. The staff was great and I felt like I had really checked off a great beer spot in a great city.

Biggest selection of craft brew on tap I have ever seen. I had two imperial stouts after trying a few: Prairie Christmas BOMB! and Other Half: We've Been Out There In Orbit.
Cool place, wooden decor, good amount of seating. Friendly staff. I got the shrimp tacos which was one of the daily specials and I was impressed.
Overall a great place if you're looking for a large quantity and high quality selection of beer. Would recommend!

My wife and I stopped in here after lunch at a vegan place down the street. Not too large, dark wood, fire in the fireplace. Very comfortable.
28 beers on tap, including three from Hill Farmstead. Two cask offerings.
We sat at the bar and had a great conversation with the guy next to us.
Service was good.
