Pours black with a light brown ring around the edges of the chalice. No head forms, but just a wispy film lingers with minimal lacing, and the appearance shows a low carbonated brew.

Really roasty and chocolate scents in the beast. A surprising cherry scent mixed in with the chocolate.

Probably one of the most rich and chocolate-dominated stouts that I have experienced. Just dark and roasty malts really running the show here. Chocolate aftertaste. This is solid.

Low carbonation and pretty relaxed mouthfeel with absolutely no detection of the 8% abv.

All around goodness and very drinkable. Sexy Beast is easy to sip and you'll want to analyze the real Belgian chocolate infusion more after your first pour. ABV becomes obvious after the second pour and it can creep up on you because the body is light overall. Kudos to Dock Street Brewery in West Philly for this one and I'll be searching for it again.

Had on tap at Bluedog in Lansdale

A:Pours an opaque black with a small dark brown head the fade into a thin layer.

S: Aromas are of Belgian chocolate and a roasty almost smokey smell.

T: Smokey flavors come out more when I taste this beer. Chocolate is still there with a hint of Belgian yeast. Hops are very subdued compared to what I'm used to.

M: Light smooth mouthfeel. This beer goes down easy, but there is a hint of alcohol heat on the backend.

D: This beer is quite drinkable. The flavors are not over powering. The more I drink of Belgian style stouts the more I like them.

Serving type: on-tap
