"A lightly (lactic acid) soured wheat ale, cut with a modicum of salt and coriander, bringing the beer squarely into dry, refreshing territory."
Served from tap into a Raleigh Rare & Vintage Beer Tasting snifter. Poured a hazy golden yellow with a half finger white head that subsided to a minimal amoutn slowly. Maintained phenomenal lacing throughout the glass. The aroma was comprised of sweet malt, salt, tart, spice, wheat, and grain. The flavor was of sweet malt, brine, tart, subtle sour, and wheat. It had a light feel on the palate with high carbonation. Overall this was a good brew. Great Divide did a really good job on this one by nailing just about every aspect that most enjoy about this style. There was a nice brine aspect going on here with a kiss of sour/tart that kept your palate interested. The spice notes were well incorporated as well throughout the entire sip. A really well done example of the style that I would not hesitate to crush a growler of if I got the opportunity. Tick.
