22oz bottle w/ bottled on date of 11/14/11 poured into a brandy snifter.
Impenetrably dark, thick, viscous looking. Espresso crema-colored head of three fingers height. Gnarly lacing scaling down the inner walls of the glass.
Aromas of dark roasted coffee, bleachy oak, alcohol sweetness, burnt sugars, chocolate custard. Almost nose-clearing with a deep whiff.
Upfront bitterness from the dark malt; decent hop bite upon a swish. Wonderful sweetness on the swallow. Intense flavors of coffee, milk caramel, grilled meat char, hard tack candy, and almost a hint of black cherry.
Mouthfeel is a bit milky; great body, full and nearly oily. Chewy, sticky, and most intact.
A gorgeous R.I.S. Complex notes and instantly warming. Remarkable version of the renowned Yeti. Can't wait to try the Chocolate version. Have one more of the Oak Aged that will sit for quite awhile.
Be most determined to get ahold of this one.

Had side by side with the Oak Aged Chocolate
A-Black in the glass, two finger brown head that tries to leave some lacing behind.
S-Oak, chocolate, lots of roasted malt, some of which was burnt (the good burnt)
T- Very oaky, lots of roasted malt, some burnt (still good), chocolate, vanilla, tad coffee and licorice.
M-Medium bodied, nicely carbonated and a tad creamy.
O-A solid beer. Cheaper than most BA beers, with better availability. Not as great, but still a yummy beer.
