Had this on tap at a party last year, and I just finally got around to re-visiting it on my latest DIPA kick.

A - Pours a nice copper gold. You can see that it's carbonated properly from the very first pour. Doesn't generate too much foam and retains a nice head long after the initial pour.

S - More malt that I had expected from a DIPA. I much prefer the hoppy piney scent, but it's just not here. Doesn't make it a bad brew, just not what I had expected.

T - Again the malt is the base of the beer. A little more bitter than your typical DIPA.

D - Goes down smooth. I'm enjoying my 2nd glass as I type this review and I think the 10% is just now catching up to me. Someone is going to sleep well tonight :-)

M - Again you could see from the initial pour that it was well bodied. Smooth on the pallet, not something you'll be drinking copious amounts of.

All in all a well crafted beer.

Slightly hazy yellowish orange with a small, creamy white head. Very refreshing looking.

Fairly subtle fruity hop aromas mixed with some sweet malt. Not the huge kick I look for in the style, but not bad.

Much more hoppy in flavor than in the aroma, but leans more toward the bitter side than anything - but doesn't linger much. Hops definitely pretty complex, with citrusy taking the lead followed by some pine. Really pretty mellow overall with not much of an alcohol presence despite the size.

Moderate body with a lighter carbonation, but with a little bite. Doesn't linger on the tongue. Pretty smooth DIPA.

Much more subtle than I expected - not as huge and complex as I normally like for the style, but a very good beer. This is one of those where you have to watch yourself, since it's so smooth and easy drinking.
