Presentation: 12 oz brown long neck, on the label it states that Wild Raspberry Ale uses hundreds of pound of red and black raspberries. "Month and week bottled" notch on the side for freshness.

Appearance: Reddish almost burgundy in color, good head retention that leaves a thin yet sturdy lace behind.

Smell: Semi tart raspberry nose, clean aroma.

Taste: Smooth mouth feel with a thin malt palate, light tart raspberry flavour hits middle to end. Malt stays thin as well as the hop bitterness but this helps the fruit to shine. Drying grain and tart raspberry finish off the brew.

Notes: Light yet balanced fruit flavour is captured in this beer. A well done fruit ale.

12 oz. brown capped bottle poured into a pint glass. This raspberry ale pours a bit on the brown side of red, has a bit of haze, and shows only a light cap of foam. Retention is light.

Aroma is unexpected and lacks fruit notes when cold, expanding some with warming. Bit malty and muddled for the style. Checking the date I see this was bottled on, well I can't really make it out. May be as old as July/2012 or as not so old as Dec/2012 given cryptic nature of a size .2 font. Still not as fresh as it could be. Continued warming does show more fruit and a light supporting hop note.

Flavor is more fruit forward but surely not in a roll up fruit sense. Offers decent depth of fruit and background malt character. Nothing to overwhelm, pleasant on the palate and more coarse than sweet yet with a firm berry character throughout. Nice full/coarse feel. In the end a solid offering from my perspective. Just the right amount of fruit and enough going on around it to pull it off.

Appearance: no head to speak of. The color is unique. A clear and dark handsome raspberry red.
Smell: pleasant enough and smelling of raspberries but tool subdued for my taste. It would be unfair to compare to Blushing Monk but I would hope for a nose comparable to say Sam Smith organic raspberry and just doesn't hold up.
Taste: much like the nose but I have to say very refreshing and quite good.
Overall: good but not as rich as I would like.

Poured from a 12oz bottle into a pint glass. Reviewed live.

A- Two-finger light pink tinted head. Middling retention. Deep ruby color with nice clarity.

S- Light malts and juicy raspberries. Quite subtle scent however.

T- Light ale kind of character. Berries are light in flavor.

M- Medium bodied and carbonated with a thick, chewy finish.

O- Not a fan of this one. I was hoping for more with the berries.
