Served in pint glass at the brewpub.
A- Copperish amber color with a finger worth of frothy white head. Good head retention throughout drink; remained at a semi-thick complete covering. Cascade shelf of residual head on the glass.
S- Hint of citrus but primarily wet grass with bits of hay. Not a great smell: muted enough that it did not distract from drink.
T- Good taste but the mouthfeel distracts from how good the taste could really be. Hints of orange and lemon zest at the front give way to a slightly too sweet caramel and distinct bittnerness. It was almost like eating straight Cascade hops.
M- Almost water light body. Actually drank like flavored water, which detracts from the taste because it is so thin on the palate. Carbonation was smack on, adding a correct bite, accounting for the quality taste.
O- I would have gladly had another pint if I hadn't had to drive for a few hours. At 3 dollars it is a misdemeanor theft. The abv is also just low enough (listed at 6.7%) to make it a few pint drinker. Wish they would correct the body.

Came out to Kokomo to visit an old friend that lives here now and we went to the Half Moon for dinner one night during my stay. Looked over the selection of beers they made and I took it upon myself to try the IPA. It came out as a copper color and fairly clear looking. Decent sized white head with some pretty impressive lacing. An interesting soft hoppy aroma and a creamy hop flavor to it. Very smooth and creamy feeling on the tongue. Really nice highly drinkable IPA. I wouldn't say it's anywhere near my favorite but it really seemed to be a pretty solid brew for a small brewery like Half Moon. Next time I'm out this way I'll try more from them.

A- Thin white head atop a light orange IPA. Crazy effervescnece. Decent head retention and above average lacing.
S- Smells like "stanky grass" hah.
T- Malt backbone is there but the pine hops overpower it a little. Leaves the mouth watering.
M- Full mouthfeel, slightly syrupy.
D/O- Pretty drinkable beer right here. Thanks Tara!

Body is a hazy copper amber with a small offwhite head. Subdued aroma of pears and apples with some pine in the background. Medium body and carbonation. Taste features fresh ripe pears, citrusy grapefruit, and pine bitterness on a caramel malt backbone. Nicely drinkabkle.

Had this on draft at the restaurant. Good IPA, highly drinkable. Plenty of hops, but with a good amount of residual sweetness and alcohol to keep it balanced. I would say this is the best beer of theirs that I have had. Not as hoppy as some other IPAs but more drinkable and balanced. A good session IPA.

Good review previous to this post. The smell wasn't quite there, but everything else about it was exceptional in my opinion. I'm not a huge IPA fan, but I would drink this every night if given the opportunity. The typical bitterness of an IPA is extremely well balanced by the sweetness of the malt and the fruityness of the hops. Every stage of the drinking experience is great from initial sweet splash, to the citrus complexity, to the smooth finish that lingers just long enough to savor, but not too long to influence the food.

A warm copper colored brew with a light head, fair lacing. The aroma was hard to pick up, a little musty but I picked up a faint nutty scent. The first taste hits me as much sweeter than I expected, especially considering the faint aroma, then the hoppy goodness settled over it. There is a bit of citrus on top of it all but I am hardpressed to describe it exactly. It's a solid IPA, a bit sweeter than most but pretty hoppy once you get past the sweetness and it has good body, pretty meaty with a fair punch to boot. Quite drinkable at the same time. I liked it, second to their porter which is excellent.
