This place is "the local" for my best friends. Well, at least it was when they lived in Hampton Court. It is a prototypical English pub with a great restaurant and fantastic patio to boot. The atmosphere is great whether you're inside on a cold winter night, warming yourself with the conversation of good friends, or enjoying the all-too-brief English sunny weather out on the expansive patio. The service is top-notch, very attentive and makes you feel like a regular the first time you walk in. The selection is the weakest point of the place, but the few choices they do have are very good and cover the styles most of the English that I know care about. The food is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable. The chef does an excellent job and I'd have to recommend the special, whatever it may be that day. I've gone that route half a dozen times & not been disappointed yet. If your'e finishing up a day visiting Hampton Court palace or strolling through Bushy park with your dog, you can't go wrong by stopping by the Coops for a pint or three.
