I think the best reason to go here is for cheap drinks. To be fair I've only visited this bar on Sunday afternoons before dropping my girlfriend off at the train station which is a short walk away, but I assume it gets pretty bumping on the weekends since they host block parties and other events. There is plenty of seating both inside and out. The floor to ceiling windows open up so you feel as if you're outside even when you're not. My girlfriend and I were taken in by the inexpensive pints of PBR and cheap shots. Getting drunk on Sunday is a ritual for us (we call it Sunday Funday) and this was an adequate place to enjoy it. No frills, the service was adequate but not in our face. From what I remember they have an average selection of beer and pretty much the standards on tap. Overall, an adequate experience.

Visited on a Friday night, around 6:15. Evidently they're having the kitchen remodeled, so there was no food available for sampling.

I've seen the signs advertising "100 bottles of beer on the wall", yet I'm just not finding it...

6 selections on tap...BMC, Magic Hat #9, and Yuengling. A few scattered bottles in the fridge - Appalachian, Troegs, Lancaster - but that was about it. A nice, cozy atmosphere for the bar; a few pool tables towards the entrance. I must say that the bartender was great (ahem, she *looked* great).

I'm not sure if they're in transition or something like that...but I'd recommend stopping at Molly Brannigan's if you happen to be in the Walnut St/2nd Street vicinity.

This was located right on the corner of North 2nd and Walnut Streets in Harrisburg and I was left incredulous that it was not in the BeerFly database when its neighbor, Molly Branigan's was, and they had comparatively little to offer.

Entering, there was a short vestibule with high tables and chairs straight ahead as well as off to the right, with a pool table off to the extreme right, along with a small bar. The washrooms were also off to the extreme right, about three-quarters of the way aft. There was also a short, slightly elevated stage in the back right corner. The formica-topped, "U"-shaped bar was to the left upon enetering and the back bar was dominated coolers and shelves for liquor.

The taps were nothing exceptional. There were only six and the lone standout was Yuengling Lager with the rest BMC products. The draw was the bottle selection: precisely one-hundred different beers and seventy-plus of those were micros! They ranged from local favorites like LNCBC, Troegs, ABC, and Weyerbacher to Left Hand, Flying Dog, and Lagunitas. The drawback was that it was spendy, as my midwestern friends might say. McGrath's continues to be the area winner for BeerBars.
