This is built inside the old Hamms and then Strohs brewery on St. Paul's east side. It has a lot of exposed brick and an 1890's industrial vibe. The crowd mixed bee lovers with local community types and people who work in nearby businesses. It is friendly and a good place to go with friends, hang out and have a beer. The beer is classic craft and well made.

this is one of the cooler taprooms in the twin cities, a little off the beaten path, but in this enormous old industrial building. it seems like an old abandoned factory or something, and the brewery must occupy a very small part of it, plenty of room to expand, this place is sprawling. they have a bunch of little rooms to post up and have a beer, a few tables, lots of old couches and stuff, very minimal and comfortable, and with all the old exposed brick and concrete visible, a very homey industrial feel, if you can imagine, very relaxing and low key in here. they bar is around through a few rooms, very long, and the brewery past that, just a ton of space in here. they had a good handful of beers on tap, a mix of basic styles and things a little more experimental, and the beer was hit or miss for me, although i only had a few. the spiced porter was intense but very tasty and unique, while the cali lager was pretty amatuer, so it seems like some are strong, others not so much. the service was prompt but unremarkable, you order from the bar, they werent too busy. i love the atmosphere in here, the building is rad and its just real chill, no frills kind of place. im not sure their beer is good enough at this point compared to the most notable operations around the cities, but its well worth stopping in for a pint or two just to take in the building. ill go here again for sure!

This brewpub is in the old Hamm's brewery in St. Paul. It is a bit hard to find, but I don't see how they could improve their signage much, with the layout of the property. Beers were delicious. Staff was very friendly. Cool plae to visit, and I'll be back.

Flat Earth's new location is in the old Hamm's brewery, the entrance of which is located down a poorly marked alley. Space is very open with original exposed brickwork and such, but is multi-room and feels cavernous and drafty. The lighting is too dim, the place still smells musty, their murals are amateurish, and the seating is a rogue's gallery of old furniture left on suburbia's rainy curbsides.
There is some history on display, which is cool, along with games to play and a growler-only bar immediately inside the entrance. Beer keg urinals in the mens' room are also a sweet touch. They do offer tours a couple nights a week, which are supposed to be fun (didn't do personally).
Staff was partially inebriated, and when I asked about the differences between a few IPAs they had on tap, they kept saying "it's all good, man. It's all good." which was very helpful. I believe they had 11 taps behind the bar made of old wooden crates, including the usual suspects, a seasonal, and some taproom exclusives. The latter were actually pretty tasty, which was a pleasant surprise.
Honestly I can't recommend the place. Reminded me of Rogue's brewery, but for all the wrong reasons. Sounds like they have some neat events, and the separate growler bar is a grand idea.

Cool space, its an old renovated warehouse. I think it may be the old hamms brewery. They had a good selection and each beer was pretty tasty. The bartender was friendly.
