Thanks to Rob for sharing.

Here is a Pumpkin Ale and it's the right time of year and one of my favorite styles of beer. Smells of cinnamon and nutmeg, a bit of squash. Taste is immediately overshadowed by the extremely watery mouthfeel. This has some promising flavor..cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, pumpkin squash..it's there, but it's akin to drinking a glass of water that somebody's gone and added cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice. Bad. Alas, too bad. It's also not sweet enough to hold up the spices properly and there needs to be more buttery malt. Here's yet another mediocre or less beer from Flat Earth.

A rich brown pumpkin ale with a hint of caramel. Pours smooth with a minimal topper. Smells very strong of pumpkin aroma, but has a nice finish. not the best of the pumpkin ales that I have had but one of the better for the end of the season.

Catchy name and worth buying again if you are in the mid-west, I wasnt able to get this from the East Coast.

Pours an orangish rusty color with a small head on it. The nose has faint spice spiraling out the glass (especially cloves) with a touch of pumpkin malts. The taste is watery upfront, which moves to some earthy pumpkin flavors with some more wateriness. Mouth is medium bodied and smooth. Overall, this one is a miss - pretty watery without much taste on the palate of which to speak. I was wanting to try this for a while and was excited to find out my buddy obtained a bottle, but not worth tracking down...

Heard good things about this and this is the first and only beer I've had from Flat Earth Brewing Company.

A - Relatively dark amber color. No carbonation, not much head, and zero lacing.

S - It smells closer to actual pumpkin pie to any beer I've had before, and to me pumpkin pie smells heavenly. Glorious smell.

T - Taste continues on the pumpkin pie train. It's focuses more on pumpkin pie spices than on actual pumpkin. Great execution in the taste department. Even the aftertaste left me feeling like I had pumpkin pie. This would be something I classify as a desert beer.

M - I'd agree with others saying it tastes a bit too watery and light. No bitterness to this and was easy drinking all the way through.

O - The words that came out of my were "f'n awesome." This was more out of shock because I had no idea what to expect to from Flat Earth. Easily one of the better pumpkin beers I've had, and probably the one that hits the pumpkin pie flavor on the head better than any I have had. Smell was remarkable. It does look and feel kind of cheap. When I have something like Pumking I feel like more TLC went into it. It's definitely something I would pick up again though, and I now feel inclined to give more Flat Earth beers a go.

Appearance - Brown/Amber/Copper color. Looks a lot like the color of an old penny.

Smell - Smells great. Much like pumpkin pie as expected.

Taste - Sweet with cinnnamon and nutmeg. Quite unsatisfying compared to what I expected from the smell. This tates like a chai latte or chai tea

Mouthfeel - Light and watery. Very disappointing.

Overall - Looks good, smells good, and is a total let down. One of my least favorite pumpkin beers that I've tried this fall. Right along with Sam Adams Harvest Pumpkin.

Amber-brown color very clear
a very spicy smell. clove, nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon. Almost pumpkin pie but really just the spices.
Taste like Pumpkin and cinnamon mixed in with ginger and nutmeg but very light. Not strong at all.
light body and very smooth goes down very easy
Over All this is what I would call a lite pumpkin ale if such a thing was made. I can drink it but I would not go out and get it

Poured a light copper color color, and produced a 2 finger beige head. It disapated quickly.
The smell was of pumpkin pie. Yum!
The taste was similar , but not as much of the pumpkin pie taste came through. It had a slight sour finish. Light mouth-feel, an high-ish carbonation.
The smell was great the taste that followed was a little bit of a let down.

22 oz. bottle poured into a shaker pint.

Appearance-Amber-brown color with decent clarity. Dense, creamy, pale beige head has decent retention.

Aroma-Very spicy up front with clove, nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon all in the forefront-somewhat reminiscent of mulling spices. Light squashy/faintly nutty aroma in the background. Has an overall sort of holiday spice cake aroma, with slight presence of bread and brown sugar. Pleasant.

Flavor-Thin and strangely sweetish up front, with a watery pumpkin candy character at the start, before a bit of the spice begins to open on the mid-palate. The finish bears suggestions of clove and nutmeg, but is quite weak compared to the aroma. The aftertaste is actually moderately pleasant with some of the pumpkin flesh notes starting to come forward, but on the whole I'm not very enamored with the flavor here. There's also a strange tartness to the palate as a whole that I find unpleasant.

Mouthfeel-Medium light body, and it feels a bit thin and watery. Moderately high carbonation doesn't help this impression.

Smells promising, but the flavor really doesn't deliver-with strange, tart, pumpkin-candy flavors which fizzle to a lightly sour, lightly spiced pumpkin flavor. Just not that good.

This beer pours a clear ruby color. The head is half an inch in height, and recedes slowly into a small cap of lacing. The aroma is of nutmeg, all spice, cinnamon, and a hint of pumpkin in the background. The taste is a bit mellower than the aroma with more of a malty roundness. There is, however, still a significant pumpkin spice character that is foremost on the palate. The mouthfeel is on the lighter side of medium bodied with a watery texture, and aggressive carbonation. Overall, this is a pretty good pumpkin ale. However, the thin body really detracts from my enjoyment of the rest of the beer.
