I poured this from a clear teardrop glass. It looks fine and tastes fine, but this beer is way too bitter. The after taste is too bitter too. Not my thing!

Way darker than I expected from a pale ale, almost crimson. Good smell, some citrus, some floral, nothing overwhelming. Taste was bitter, sweet, malty, unbalanced. Not great

16 oz can into an Irish pub-style imperial pint glass. No date on the can. Amber color, moderate carbonation, 1 inch light tan head, leaving thick lacing as it receded. Malty aroma, perhaps a bit of pine. medium feel, but little carbonation means it is pretty flat. The malts are the primary component of the taste, initial, middle, and finish, with just a touch of hops flavor. The malts are earthy more than bready. After several sips, a bitterness appears in the finish and lingering aftertaste. The malt tast is good, but I would have preferred more hops presence, both in flavor and bittering. This beer is much different than I was expecting based on the brewer's description. Overall, disappointing.

No canning date. Confusing marketing since it's called Angry Planet but then goes on to describe how its all-american. Just my two cents, now on to the real review.
Appearance: Really nice deep caramel/brown with some ruby tones. Superb clarity and very thin off-white head that seems to be sticking around.
Aroma: Really not much on the nose, just a bit of sweet/toffee grain.
Taste: Very similar to an Irish red but with more pronounced bitterness. Some bad metallic/copper/soapy off-flavors that coat the palate in the finish and aftertaste make it difficult to taste much else. Some of that may be contributed to cascade, which I've always found a bit soapy tasting. A bit of toffee/toasty malt peaks through but only fleetingly.
Mouthfeel: Between light and medium in body with crisp carbonation and low drinkability due to the harsh flavors.
Final Thoughts: At 6% ABV and 48 IBUs (as stated on the can) I'm thinking they need to check their math on one of those numbers because this is quite the bitter mess. Another nail in the coffin for Flat Earth. Would I drink it again? Unlikely.

A: amber to reddish gold with a white head.
S: Grapefruit and a little malt
T: The malt biscuit flavors come in early with the hops coming in with a little grapefruit in the finish.
F: medium body and carbonation.
O: The various elements of this beer come together well making for an easy to drink beer.
