22oz. bottle into pint glass

A. Golden Orange with Amber hue, good head and retention along with some nice lacing. Looks clear but if you look closely has small particles of sediment dancing around within.

S. Bready malts, mild caramel and spicy fruits esters, more of a coriander like aroma with faint citrus

T. Picking up a initial bready and yeasty malt profile up front and a finish much like that of cardamom, can not detect any citrus in the hop profile, but has a mild pine undertone, more like the flavor of spruce tips though.

M. Dry, medium carbonation, alcohol comes through more then it should here.

O. This is an Ok APA. I prefer mine far hoppier. This kinda tastes more like a blend of an Oktoberfest, a heffe, and a IPA then an APA.

Poured from a 22 oz brown bomber into a clear glass mug. No clear freshness date. Purchased by my brother Greg at a Minneapolis-area bottle shop. Reviewed from notes.

A: Dark copper-red with 1-2 fingers of pretty rocky, off-white head with good retention and ample lacing.

S: Decent aroma with grapefruit and honeysuckle combining with some lemon and floral notes. The maltiness doesn't have a lot of character in the aroma. There is a "homebrew" tanginess to the aroma.

T: The tanginess follows through to the flavor as well. The beer is not well enough attenuated and leaves too many sweet malt sugars which give this beer a tangy, light lemonade flavor with much more bitterness. I think this beer would be a lot better with less bitterness, namely less early- and mid-boil hop additions and more late-boil hop additions to increase the hop flavor without the big bitterness. There is also a midl vegetal flavor that would also improve with less early hopping. THe maltiness is mildly crackery but is not interesting enough to carry the big bitterness.

M: Average carbonation with medium-light medium body and not enough dryness.

O: Not a good or great example of the style, merely middle of the road. Has some attenuation problems and drinks like an average homebrew not a refined craft beer.

22oz bomber into mason jar

Look is clear amber-orange with a nonexistent head. Smell is warm malt, apples, oranges, grassy hops. Taste is malty/bready and wooden, yet bitter with slightly spicy hops. Good balance between the hop and malt, meaning they play well off each other.

Not a fan of this one. Neither the malt nor the hops were especially tasty(too fruity/estery, and too medicinally bitter and earthy). Still, I can see how this may appeal to some.

Poured from a bomber into a standard pint glass.

Appearance: Pours a clear amber color with a half finger of fluffy off white head that sticks around pretty well.

Smell: The smell is really mild with some malt and mild fruit notes. Not a whole lot going on here.

Taste: As with the smell, this is a really mild beer. Some malt and a mild hop bitterness. There are some citrus notes as well. The fruity notes seem a bit out of place.

Mouthfeel: Medium body with rather large bubbles and a slick finish.

Overall: This isn't a very good beer. It looked fine, but nothing else about it was very appealing. I wouldn't have another.

On tap at Old Chicago.

Appearance: Light orange and a bit hazy topped by white foam.

Smell: Hop is noticeable initially but fades to a bready malt scent.

Taste: More sweet malt than hop bite initially. Bitterness does show up, but I was expecting a bit more hop based on the labeling of 'Angry'. After the bready malt sweetness fades a bit there is trace of resinous hop that lingers on the finish.

Mouthfeel: medium. Carbonation is decent.

Drinkability: Mildly hopped and slightly more bitter than sweet, this one really doesn't distinguish itself, other than being 'organic'.
