I stopped at Weiland's to check out the food section, but the beer aisles were much better! This is a separate liquor store, state agency-style, that sells beer, wine and hard liquor.

Their beer selection is quite expansive. Lots of bombers (a little pricey), with some rarities from Dogfish and New Holland. Plenty of six-packs too, from Great Divide, Stone, Dogfish (including Palo Santo and Burton Baton), Founders (including Breakfast), Bells (including Double Cream Stout, which I had never seen before), North Coast (Old Stock!)

Also growlers of Rogue Dead Guy and Rogue Amber, interesting... A whole aisle is devoted to Belgians and imports, which I don't much care for but- they have easily the best selection of Euro stuff I've seen in Columbus.

Another plus is the mix-and-match selection, a six-pack for $10 and you get to choose from all the singles in one shelf.

Service is good, they didn't really offer help but were there if I needed it.

Prices were OK, a lil' high but not outrageous. I can buy cheaper elsewhere in the city, but this is not bad.

I would absolutely come back to Weiland's if I lived around Clintonville. A very quality beer shop!

Down the block from Palmers if you are at one might as well go to both in search of beer. As you walk in head to the back left and go into the beer and liqour only place. They have 2 coolers for sixers, 2 rows of craft beer, and and a section for 6 packs of single bottles. The selection is decent, most staple craft you can find in better Ohio stores. They did have Rockmill, they say only one of four stores in Columbus. The service is friendly, not super knowledable. Decent place, not a desination and not going to find hidden gems.

Beer in the back in kind of its own room, actually has its own entrance. 2 staff were helpful and giving adive to others. Inquired if I needed help, which I didn't. Took the time to comment on purchases and others I may like, this is the service as a geek I look for. More in the way of passing suggestions, extrapolating from what I purchased.

May not have as much rare stuff, but they had some nice seasonal stuff people may just not realize is good. Bestefar comes to mind. MUCH better OH selections than Palmers. Came through looking for locals, Alesmith, Troegs and 3F. This place satisfied the local fix. They had one Alesmith(Speedway), but not what I was looking for. The make your own sixer had mostly large micros in it. Still I purchased about a 1/2 case of stuff here versus the 3 bottles from Palmers, though to be fair this included 2 four packs.

Reminded me a bit of the Green's warehouses in SC, though a little smaller. Maybe a small Binny's also. Would stop again passing through, same with Palmers. 71 going north or south, these are just a get off one exit, stop, get back on the next one down.

Just past Palmer's is Weiland's. It is the main store in a small shopping center to the right.

This place is mainly a small market. Fresh fish and meats, produce and lots of wine. Only about three checkout lanes.
At first I had trouble finding the beer. I walked around the isles of wine which take up about 45% of the store.

The beer is way in the back in a separate wing. It is like a little liquor store within the market. There is a separate cashier and outside entrance to this wing of the market. Back here there is lots of liquor and spirits. The beer occupies 2 coolers and both sides of one long shelf. There is a small shelf of disorganized singles to mix and match a 6 pack for $9.99. Other than the disorganized singles rack everything else is organized well. Its all grouped by brewery with the breweries that specialize in similar styles together. (IE The Bruery is near Unibroue and the traditional Belgian breweries).

I was actually surprised with the selection here. For a place that isnt purely focused on beer the selection is quality. Lots of New Holland, Brooklyn, AleSmith, and a nice selection of Belgians like magnums of St Bernardus.

This place, teamed with Palmer's, could make a pretty good and quick beer haul. I think Weiland's picks up where Palmer's leaves off. They have more 6 packs and sessionable beers than Palmer's.

This place is close to Palmers in Clintonville on Indianola Road but had the added bonus of being open on Sunday, a liquor store, and specialty groceries. The beer is in the back section and is spread out along most of the walls and a few interior shelves. The rest is devoted to liquor, which they have a good selection. They have tastings of various beers rotating. The beer selection is pretty good and a good portion is cold, but it is cooled like a grocery store. A pretty good shop but not as good as Kenny Road Market.

Somehow I never made it around to stopping by Weiland's until last night. It's in a small shopping center, and Weilands is an actual grocery store.

Parking was annoying because the shopping center was busy as hell at 6pm on a Saturday night.

The beer is located way in back in a separate liquor store area. There beer is split into two opposite sides of the room. On your right is a small cooler space full of mostly BMC, and a rack of singles that consisted primarily of Belgians, saisons, and sours.

On the left side is a larger cooler lined with a few singles but mostly chilled 6/4packs of craft. There are also a few more shelves stocked with more craft beer.

I came in search of something specific and didn't find it so I moved on. However they were carrying Breakfast Stout and had a couple bottles of Rockmill Cask-Aged Tripel which seems to be in high demand.

Prices were a step higher than they should be, but nothing outrageous.

Overall definitely worth a stop, especially considering its proximity to Palmer's.

Stopped by this place based on the reviews from this site. It is a greocery store that sits in the corner of a small shopping center.

The beer is located in the back of the store in a seperate room with the liquor. Once in the room, there is a wall of cold beer starting along the right hand side. The amount of cold beer they keep is nice. The rest of the beer is on shelves just by the coolers.

Quality was good. Did not see dust on the bottles or anything that would deter me from coming back. Service was good. Employees were willing to help out and came across as being educated on the beers they carry. Selection was better than I expected. Some of the breweries that made a showing: Bells, NorthCoast, Stoudts, Victory, Moylans, Avery, Stone, Brooklyn, and Great Lakes. To name a few. The import selection was not bad either. I noticed brews from Rochefort, Chimay, St. Bernardus, Coopers, Amarcord, Unibroue, Barons, and Castelain.

Pretty good establishment overall. What I walked out with:
Avery 15
Sierra Nevada Southern Hemisphere

I was on my way to somewhere for dinner this weekend when I was in Columbus, after I went to Palmer's to pick up a few things. I wrote this place down to be a stop, but my GPS did not have it, so I ended up not buying anything as I had already put down a nice chunk of change for beer that day, and had to put a stop to it haha.

Anyways on my drive to dinner, I passed right by this place, so I had to stop. Walked in and they were having a wine tasting in the back. I kept walking around looking for the beer, and in the corner of my eye I see there is a whole other room in the back where the beer was located.

Walked in and right in front of me was a solid selection of Nogne O bombers on the shelf. Walked around and saw one of the best selections of Jolly Pumpkin I have ever seen in any place I have been to, of course the prices for the 750's were a bit much for me, and having already spent over 80 that day, I had to decline myself. Also a nice selection of Alesmith, Bells, Founders, Stone, Anchor, Great Divide, Green Flash, Bear Republic, Stoudt's, and of course the obligatory Ohio stapes: Great Lakes, Hoppin Frog, Brew Kettle, Buckeye, and then the local Elevator, Columbus, and Rockmill(one I havent seen or heard of before). They had a Rockmill gift box which included all 4 beers in 750's. (I should probably pick that up when I go down to Cbus again)

Overall they had a great selection of bombers, and 4/6 packs, but very lacking in the singles department. Didint seem like the service was too knowledgeable, but I really didnt even try, since I was just browsing. I would probably go back just for the JP and the Rockmill gift pack, and a few others.

Just up the street from Palmer's, my go-to. It's basically a 'gourmet' grocery store that has a liquor store/bottle shop attached the back.

They have a decent stock of cold beer, as well as a good amount of it kept at room temperature. The selection is pretty good, but I haven't seen anything here that I can't get at other locations around the OSU campus.

They had a mix-6 option as well, but the selection for that was rather thin and unimpressive. My girlfriend took advantage of it to try some new things, but I went for some better stuff. The service is about the same as you would get anywhere else. Haven't had anything jump out at me with regards to that, but I also haven't had anything disappointing happen.

Overall a good place to pick up your weekend stash. I usually stop by here and Palmer's to see if anything interesting is at one but not the other. Nice to have two quality places so close to each other.

Stopped into Weiland's this morning just to check it out. Pretty good beer selection here, both domestic and imports. A greater selection of many beers that you might find at a Giant Eagle or something, Bell's, Founder's (though no Breakfast Stout that I saw), some Great Divide, AleSmith, Southern Tier, Victory, Anchor, also the standards like DFH, Great Lakes, Rogue, etc. Also spotted some Rochefort and St. Bernardus as well.

Mostly four/six packs, a limited selection of singles, a decent selection of bombers.

Prices were pretty much what I've seen elsewhere. Wish they had a greater selection of singles.

However, definitely join their page on Facebook, they do a great job at answering questions about availability. They are also among the first in Columbus to get any of the new beer releases
