Pale yellow and fizzy like any American Macro, without the head retention adjuncts, and with some haze. No real lace either.
Smells sweeter than I expected, catching maybe some toffee.
Tastes much like it looks and smells without many surprises. Tastes like a macro with some extra care and a notch up on quality of ingredients.
This one could go either direction, depending on if you are a glass 1/2 full or half empty (pardon the pun). Either it gets the best of both worlds or it falls into the crack. I feel that it fell. It is advertised as "fresh", "clean", and "brisk" on the bottle. But then there's this toffee flavor and a stickiness to it. Maybe a higher quality beer could have pulled it off. My review, my opinion.
That said, this is sitll a brew that I would be happy to sit and drink a few of at any time for any reason. Just if I'm buying, I'd either spend half to get a Macro to wash some the wings, or grab a standby for a high-quality sipper.

This is a very fruity and sweet type of beer that resembles and ale more so than a typical lager beer. The hop levels are very low and it is predominantly malty and fruity. Not a bad beer but not the thirst-quenching type of lager you want to pair with some spicy food.

Gold color, not much clarity, 2/5" white haze. Aroma was mute.
Taste was close to mute. Slight bitterness and toasted malt flavor going on, very minimal.
Basically this is gateway from light beer to light ale.

Can tell its not pasteurized, with a rather murky hoppy flavor. If it was pasteurized, it would probably get rated much lower, because its middle of the road.

Solid pale lager. Nothing too remarkable or unusual, but very tasty and one of their better beers. Not a very typical style any more, but worth having when you want something in this realm.
