Stopped by here on my way through Tigard today. Figured I'd list what I got and how much is cost so folks have a general idea of what to expect.
6 Pack of Rogue Juniper Pale Ale - $11.99
Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier - $3.99
Chimay Red 11.2oz - $4.99
Trappistes Rochefort 8 - $5.99
Don de Dieu - $7.99
Their selection was quite good, at least compared to where I live. As others have stated, they have a good selection of Belgian and German imports as well as quite a few Japanese ones. I was hoping for a better selection of Dogfish Head, all I saw was Sah'tea and ApriHop. The beer is indeed a bit expensive, but I'd definitely stop by again.

I have visited whole foods a few times now and checked out their beer selection. The last time I was there I purchased Duvel and Weihenstephaner. Others have mentioned that the beer has been moved before, as long as I have shopped there it has always been in the back left corner, but that has only been about three years... If I recall correctly, they have the refrigerators split up into four sections, the first is mostly local oregon and washington 6-packs, the next is 6-packs from the rest of the US/North america, then you have a section of US made bombers then the last is foreign singles. I think that they have a pertty good selection of microbrews, both east and west coast. I could easily go for 6 months purchasing beer from this store only and not have the same beer twice. None of the times I have been there have ever initiated encounters with any of the staff, so i don't believe they have any sort of beer/wine specialist on the floor. One thing that I was pleased to see was that the beer is in a back corner of the store where it is a little darker and the lights don't seem too oppressive. The beer is a little expensive, but at a place like whole foods that is usually expected.

Finding all the places they have stashed the beer at this particular location is challenging. Service at this store has been nonexistent in my experiences. I have been to this store twice and bought nothing. Selection is better than at regional grocers but not nearly as good as local markets specializing in beer, or beer stores. Prices are high compared to other sellers and most beers are available in bombers or six packs. I would like to try some of the beers they sell, but only want a 12oz single.
They have a nice selection of good Belgian and German imports. I only saw one offering from Russian River, Damnation I think, and it was a few dollars higher than I see elsewhere.
Overall, a decent place to get something you know you want and don't mind paying more than elsewhere.
This is the closest Whole Foods to where I live and my wife and I occasionally shop for other items. I will look over the beer every time I visit, and maybe one day I will find something to interest me.

Haphazard and confusing, the beer section has been relocated two different times in the short history of this location. And the arrangement on the shelves themselves is somewhat confusing, where an attempted order seems to fail.
All that aside, this one does have a wide selection, including some of the rarer local brews, and gets most of the limited releases. A variety of local bombers and imports, including the usual Whole Foods selection of midwest and east coast brews that aren't readily available around these parts.
Prices are fair to high, with some decent sales, but nothing amazing. And customer service leaves a bit to be desired, often having to track someone down in the usually empty store. But all in all, not a bad selection, and they occasionally have some brews that can't be found elsewhere. Plus, it's just across the street from Bridgeport Mall, which makes it relatively convenient.
