Located in downtown Akron on the corner of S. Main and Exchange and just across the street from 69 Taps. This is an upscale restaurant, and although I have yet to try the food and gourmet pizzas that they offer, I've heard nothing but good things. The bar is small and can be a bit crowded at peak hours, but classy with comfortable atmosphere. The bar didn't appear to have any taps, but the beer list offers an extensive selection. Beers are listed by country, and several styles and breweries are represented. Well over 100 beers to choose from. The prices are on par with anywhere else in town, and given the location, are actually cheap. The service was friendly but a bit slow; given that it was a Saturday night, this wasn't unexpected. There's something here for everybody, and if you're in the mood for a good beer at a nice place, this is a good pick.

Bricco is located in downtown Akron on West Exchange and Main, not too far from the Akron Aeros stadium. Metered parking is available nearby and I believe they have a valet at times.
The interior has a lot of brick and features funky artwork on the walls. There are also large windows affording a view of the street from nearly every area of the restaurant. The bar is in the rear and there are a few TVs and highboy tables. The rest of the space is devoted to table seating. They are definitely going for the hip and casual atmosphere.
The beer selection numbers around 100, all bottles. While nothing is available on draft, they do have a pretty good array of craft beers. Some examples include Thirsty Dog, Bell's, Stone, Rogue, Sierra Nevada and more. There are also several imports available.
Service was good on an early weekend afternoon. The place was not busy at all so the bartender was always present. I had to ask for a non-frozen glass but it was not a big deal.
I did not try any food on this visit, although I would like to go back and at least try some of the interesting appetizers I saw on the menu.
Overall this place is worth checking out in the downtown area. I am partial to 69 Taps which is about a block away because it is more low key (at least at that time of day) and has more emphasis on draught beer, but this spot is definitely nice.

Located in downtown Akron on Exchange at Main St. Bricco is famous for the extensive bar and wood-fired pizzas.
The decor is a slight industrial with exposed walls and HVAC ductwork. There are paintings by locals hanging on the walls throughout. The bar is in the back to your right (as you walk in) and is usually always standing room only. Very pretty, pseudo-important people frequent Bricco. But don't let them scare you.
They have over 120 beers, 120 wines and a page full of martinis to choose from at the bar. My only gripe is that all beer is served in a chilled glass and the bottle is thrown away before you even see it. Take a page from the Winking Lizard and serve an opened bottle with an empty glass.
They have pizza's ranging from $11-$14 and plenty of good pasta. I like their pizza so much that I haven't tried any other entree yet. I would recommend the tomato artichoke soup as a starter.
The staff is friendly and the parking is easy. If you cannot find a place on the street (meters free after 6pm and on weekends) then valet is only $3.
Great selection of beer to rival the Winking Lizard.
