This beer was one of our personal picks for beer of Mondial 2008. This beer simply blew us away. It was nice to have tried this and the "regular" Baltic porter to compare the two.

A-Black body with a thick, creamy dark tan head.

S-Big sweet, roasty malts swirl with the sugary woody sweetness from the maple syrup.

T-Bam! A taste explosion of chocolate, roasted malts and the ever-lovely sweetness of maple syrup. This was so good I wanted to run away with the bottle!

M-Medium-heavy body with an incredible smoothness. It was almost vinous...but not sticky.

D-Decadent, luscious...awesome. Both Sierrags and I fell in love with this beer at the fest and gave up our tickets multiple times to snag another sample of this wonderful brew.

Seig Heil Hopfenstark!!

Enjoyed at Mondiale 2008.Maple syrup is what's up now in Quebec, readily available for experimenting.
Nowhere as complex and flavourful as the oak-aged, still a decent baltic porter. This has maple syrup, I guess to sweeten the normal style's sourness. Medium mouthfeel, white bubbly head on black body.
