Enjoyed on tap at Scottsdale location, winter 2010-2011. Poured a translucent golden color with white head. Very clean appearance. Nose had some cereal grain and light herbal notes. On the palate was a whopper of flavors with some delicious herbal hoppiness, noticeable alcohol heat, and a pleasant malty profile midway through the finish. Dangerously drinkable, even though a little boozy.

I had this one on tap at the G-B in Bolingbrook today (2/12/2010).

A= This beer poured a super clear deep golden color with a 1/2" creamy white head. The head dropped fairly quickly and left some spotty lace behind.

S= Lots of malty sweetness and a big hop aroma. The hops didn't smell like European/noble hops to me because there was a slight fruitiness to the aroma that wasn't from esters but rather from the hops. Interesting...

T= Very clean and simple yet somehow flavorful and interesting. The malt was more sweet than I expected but it was very tasty and rich. Sort of a sweet cracker note. The hops are big and lightly fruity. Not nearly as light and grassy as noble European hops can be. The hops and malt battled all the way through but midway the hops started to win and things dried out considerably. Finished pretty dry, with lots of hop flavor and a kiss of alcohol.

MF= Medium bodied with a crisp carbonation level.

D= Dangerously easy to drink. I don't know what the ABV is but it is significant. Not the best Imperial IPA I have ever had but a damn tasty one! Its fresh, its local, and I'll be back for more.
