A - Pours a clear orange color with a very nice 2 inch creamy head that fades to a small cap. Lacing is fair.
S - Smells of malt and grapes. There is a slight wine odor to this beer.
T - Tastes of a sweet malty biscuit and just the slightist hint of hops in the finish.
M - Has a light crisp taste with pretty good carbonation. Leaves a slight coating in the mouth.
D - I found this beer to be pretty enjoyable actually. I got it in a clearance sampler pack and the bottling date is 8/24/09. 8 months later and this still is tasty and fresh.

Appearance - Pours a clear golden amber with a 2 finger head, decent retention, and a resulting lace that's spotty.
Smell - Aroma is primarily sweet - hints at bread and caramel, with a bitter hop note edging around the sweetness.
Taste - Starts sweet, bread, caramel and a touch of butteriness, then cut into mid-taste by a biting grass bitterness. Hops continue to build through the finish, hitting on floral notes before fading in the aftertaste.
Mouthfeel - Light to medium body, with a soft, tingly carbonation. Finishes fairly dry.
Overall - Nothing great, but it's somewhat enjoyable. Probably wouldn't buy again, but I'd drink it if offered. Mayhap Okterberfests just aren't my thing... actually, I think I've had my fair share to say they're not. It's a decent style, but I've only had one that's ever really wowed me.

Had this beer on-tap at the Gordon Biersch in Seattle. Served in a half-liter Maßkrug.
Appearance: medium orange with a moderate haze and a little bit of creamy ivory head. Not bad.
Smell: light yeasty malt aroma with a hint of biscuit. Decent if not my favorite.
Taste: biscuity malt flavor with a lighter, sweeter malt finish. Some noble hop character present and a decent bitterness at the end.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a big carbonation and very good creaminess.
Overall: decent and quite drinkable. Gets a little better with each sip. Not bad at all.

Poured into a 16 oz. stein: clear, deep golden to light amber with a quickly receding foamy white head.
Very fresh aromas of spicy, European hops and malt.
A solidly malty entry with a faint earthy flavor in the background; hints of bready yeast flavors with a nice hoppy finish.
The body is a little thin with zesty carbonation. The mouthfeel was slick and rather sweet with some faint hops on the palate.
This was a solid effort that complemented the German sausage and red cabbage dinner I enjoyed at the Louisville, KY Gordon Biersch restaurant.

A - Orangey amber with a bright white head that left no lacing on the glass.
S - Sweet breads and malts.
T - Nice lager with a really inviting sweetness. A little bit of spice up front with malts picking up the rear.
M - Light body with nice carbonation.
O - Pretty nice lager that I wouldn't mind drinking again. I'm not a huge lager fan but this is a very sessionable beer.

From The Kansas City Restaurant
Appearance: A little darker than their original Marzen. A bronze colored body with more of a dark sand colored head and lace.
Smell: Bread like with more hoppiness than the original. It is a bit more floral and earthy.
Taste: The flavor and the aroma do not differ that much. I think this is sweeter and bitter than the original more of a citrus presents.
Mouthfeel: Thin and has plenty of bite to it.
Overall: I thought it was weird that this was on tap at the same time as the Marzen but even though they are the same style there are notable differences.
