Served on draft into a stemmed pilsner glass. Serving size is about 10 oz at the brewpub.

A: pours light amber gold, clear, with a slightly off-white 1-finger head that laces.

S: spice, clove, pepper, with a touch of citrus and coriander.

T: The clove and pepper flavor dominates, with a touch of alcohol and hops in the finish. malt flavors muted, a slight amount of baked bread behind the spicy clove and pepper flavor. Some ester and dried fruit/citrus flavors work their way in, although most prominent flavors are still the spice. Alcohol notes are muted and overall strength of the beer is well-hidden; lacks the unwanted rocket fuel characters present in some tripels.

M: average, not as effervescent as some tripels from the mother country.

D: a very well-balanced tripel and overall well-made. could have probably had a few of these without overpowering the palate, although it would have been a challenge to sobriety. good effort by this brewer.
