Finally someone with enough reviews created this beer!

A: Pours jet black. Completely opaque. Faint head fades immediately. Nice alcohol legs, smoothly coats the side of the glass, momentarily staining it a caramel color.

S: Definitely BCBS smell; bourbon, vanilla, caramel, maybe some dark fruits

T: Best description is a smoother, fudgier version of BCBS. Great vanilla, fudge, caramel, bourbon, chocolate. A bit less roasted malt taste, more smooth creamy fudge.

M: Thick and fudgy. It coats your mouth with a sweet bourbon feel.

O: This is my favorite BCBS to date (although technically not an official variant). This beer is near perfection for me; it's big, bold, well balanced, smooth, creamy, full of rich fudge, vanilla, and bourbon notes. It drinks super smooth. A perfect sipper. It took me 45 minutes to drink a 10 oz snifter and I enjoyed it more and more as it warmed. This is a great addition to the Bourbon County and Fulton & Wood series. Another home run for GI. Unfortunately for most it is tap only, Chicago only. But if you get a chance to try this beer it's definitely worth it.

Big thanks to stawn for sharing this delicious beer. Black body. Growler opens with a hiss but the beer pours nearly still. Caramel, toffee, vanilla, chocolate with well integrated bourbon. Balanced and restrained yet adequately expressive and inviting. Soft with no heat. Huge cocoa presence with smooth bourbon. Caramel and vanilla. The chocolate finish lasts forever. Creamy full body. Smooth and sticky. A mellow, softer version of bourbon county. Very nice.
