surprise draft offering at Watershed. poured generously into a Tulip glass.
a: very close to pure black. dark tan head dissipates quickly with no lacing.
s: heavy toffee, chocolate, and vanilla. roasty malts, caramel, coffee. only a little bourbon.
t: very easy drinking. smooth and nice chocolate, toffee, roasted malts. the bourbon is complimentary but not overpowering. a little bitterness and a touch of sourness at the end.
m: chewy, smooth, full, medium carbonation, close to perfect.
o: I liked this better than original BCBS, at least the 2012 version fresh. just easier to drink. I feel lucky to have stumbled upon it. hope to find it again in the future. world class.

Big thanks to stawn for sharing this delicious beer. Black body. Growler opens with a hiss but the beer pours nearly still. Caramel, toffee, vanilla, chocolate with well integrated bourbon. Balanced and restrained yet adequately expressive and inviting. Soft with no heat. Huge cocoa presence with smooth bourbon. Caramel and vanilla. The chocolate finish lasts forever. Creamy full body. Smooth and sticky. A mellow, softer version of bourbon county. Very nice.
