Served in a stein at the Clybourn brewpub.
Brewed in honor of Karl Strauss, who apparently mentored John Hall. It pours a clear orange-amber topped by over a finger of cream-white foam. The nose comprises orange peel, light soap, and mild biscuit. The taste brings in more of the same, along with some light toffee and some grass (which fends off the soapy character from before). The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda dry finish. Overall, a pretty solid O-Fest; nothing to get excited about, but tasty enough to enjoy the stein whilst watching the Packers lose (always a good time).

A- Pours a nice brown/caramel color wth roughly a 1 inch head that dissipates quickly
S- Definitely a bunch of caramel malt here along with a touch of hops in there somewhere
T- Very very caramely. The hops come through gently in the end but the malts are obviously the spotligh
M- Little too light for the flavor but it follows for the style. Some thickness and smoothness would greatly improve this beer
O- Personally I don't really like Oktoberfests but this is an exception, quite tasty
