Served in an imperial pint glass at the Clybourn brewpub.
The newest installment in Goose's Farmers' Market series, this stuff was brewed with stinging nettles from Oriana's Oriental Orchard in Winslow, IL. It pours a clear copper topped by a finger of off-white foam. The nose comprises walnut, thistle, light biscuit, and a touch of what seems like heather. It's an ethereal combination of sweet and herbal, like the forest prim-candy. Yeah, that just happened. The taste holds notes of green tea, light oak, heather, miscellaneous flowers, grass, light lemon zest, and light honey. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a kinda dry finish. Overall, definitely an interesting beer here, one that I'm not sure I can sum up very well. Yup. Sorry. Try it for yourself, then you tell me how best to proceed. Go.
