Served in an imperial pint glass at the Clybourn brewpub.
80 shillings? I'm gonna try to haggle with him... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear sunset amber topped by over a finger of cream-tan foam. The nose comprises toffee, cocoa, toasted caramel, and dark wheat. Imagine a maltier version of Kilgubbin here. The taste holds notes of toffee, tea leaves, and dark greens. The tea flavor really does this beer no favors. The body is a straight medium, with a cask-induced lack of carbonation and a smooth, languid feel. Overall, a decent bit of Scottish-ness, but the tea and greens in there hurt this thing significantly.
