Ten ounce pour, served in a snifter at Goose Clybourn.

Inky black, mahogany edges where it sidles up against a layer of creamy dark tan mocha foam on top. After sitting for a few minutes, the skim breaks on the surface by itself.

Smooth and roasty, cold pressed espresso aroma, big earthy notes with unsweetened bakers chocolate, mild smoky roast, and tobacco leaf. Flavors are similar, a coffee delivery system if you will. Cold press espresso, punchy and rich coffee flavor minus the acidity, very smooth, with a mellow roasty stout base. Not picking up any of the citrus described on the menu. Fairly light bodied in fact, but big on high-quality coffee flavor. More chocolate tobacco and espresso notes in the taste, rich but mellow and easy drinking for the abv. Easy to have a couple, though the $9 snifter is cost prohibitive.

A - Black beer with a small bit of brown head that left some minor checks on the sies of the glass.

S - Explosive coffee on the nose. Unlike a lot of stout that have a bit of a sweet or cocoa background underneath the coffee, this is straight up, powerful coffee blast. Rich and dark roasted.

T - It doesn't taste as strong in the coffee department as you would think based on the nose. Don't get me wrong, it completely tastes like coffee, but somehow it's smoothed out or something. This beer tastes like cold coffee, not coffee that has ssat out too long and become cold and bitter, but rather retains the flavor profile of piping hot coffee somehow in a cold beer. I think it's the addition of the orange citrus, which isn't really citrusy in it's taste, but opens up the coffee flavors a bit. Not bad at all.

M - Heavier side of medium bodied. Moderate carbonation.

O - Gets bonus points for the citrus addition to open up the coffee flavors. Really want to have this one again as it's quite interesting and not sure I really got the full effect.
