A: Solid black with a very small dark brown head
S: Chocolate, bourbon, hints of vanilla
T: Starts off with a great dark chocolate flavor which is then followed by the bourbon. On the back end you get some vanilla. Very complex throughout. A very amazing beer.
M: The beer coats your mouth in a rich, smooth feel.
O: Overall this is an amazing beer. Lots of complexity and a great balance of the flavors. I tried this followed up by the BCBS Vanilla and although that was a very good beer as well, the Rare is in a league of its own. Definitely the best BCBS version.
