As dark as a beer can get... a finger of mocha brown head recedes down to a stubborn collar that laces perfectly, leaving all sorts of slick booze legs.
Bittersweet fresh oily coffee bean aromas highlight the front of the nose, all those classic BCBS notes, vanilla and bourbon and caramel and oak and awesome. Super smooth, no apparent alcohol character. Splendid.
What can I say? It's nearly a perfect beer... the oaky bourbon blends seamlessly with the fresh coffee profile... nutty stout characteristics take a back seat to some well-executed dark and dirty breakfast booze...
Could you even improve on this? That's a genuine question. I don't think you could.
