Poured from a 22 oz bottle in to a snifter on the 10th floor of the Denver Ritz on NYE

A - pours that BCBS jet black with an 1/8th inch mocha head and a bit of effervescent carbonation

S - bourbon, coffee, nutty deliciousness; rich chocolate notes; some caramel

T - bourbon; unsweetened cocoa; chocolate nibs; roasted chocolate and caramel malts; vanilla; burnt coconut; kinda like a health bar infused with warm whiskey

M - really well balanced; creamy and smooth; some noted heat that lingers and hits the chest and belly; subdued carbonation; fna man

O - well, it doesn't seem as thick and syrupy as regular BCBS, and that may or may not be the only knock on this beer; the coffee infusion is remarkable...perfectly balanced; there's plenty of flavor and it develops well after a pour and rest; I am really looking forward to seeing how this ages and imagine the heat, and unfortunately the coffee, will subside a bit. Amazing beer.
