Pours brown. Pitch black in glass with a 1cm khaki head. Low retention and spotty lacing
Very deep, rich and complex nose very bold and robust coffee. Deep dark chocolate. Bourbon with a touch of oak and mild dark fruit.
Being aged for two years I think the coffee flavor has faded quite a bit I'm sure. Nevertheless it's still tastes phenomenal. Big, rich, deep, dark complex flavor with great bourbon, mild espresso, vanilla and a touch of oak. Amazing.
Full bodied mouth. A touch dry. With low carbonation.
Overall whether this beer is fresh or aged, it's simply virtually a perfect imperial stout. Big, bold, complex on all levels. Fantastic!
